Dumb theory time: This has more to do with taller women being further away from the small/petite feminine ideal (women are supposed to be "cute" "fun-sized" etc.), feeling that distance at an early age and becoming more realistic and introspective, in my opinion. I prefer taller women in general because I get along better with them, on average.
