Yes, finasteride.
That seems like the best bet. Putting minoxidil on my head twice a day is enough of a pain. I'd rather get my anti-adro via a pill.
How many times a week would you advise me to use nizoral, 1%?

you should do the big three

i recommend you use the 2% nizoral 3 times a week

the 1% is fine but the 2% has been shown to be as effective 2% minoxidil

Damn.
Would using the over the counter nizoral four or five times a week get the same result as using the prescription version two or three times?

You can get nizoral 2% and proscar from http://www.unitedpharmacies.com/
or http://www.inhousepharmacy.com/ no prescription needed.

I've used both nizoral 2% ans 1% and either seems to work.
