You are pretty uncompromising about this - but that's what I love about these boards you can learn lessons you might not have to. I to have seen married, engaged and woman who were in a relationship with a wandering eye too many times to not fully disagree with your statement.
I don't have much dating experience but have an observant eye when it comes to this stuff.

Coincidentally inline with this topic here is what a friend posted on facebook recently in true white knight fashion. Trying to get my head around what motivation anyone would have posting something like this - I suppose we might have all done it to some extent on social media:

My best friend is very religious, and I can't be bothered to debate with him anymore, I just nod in agreement.

You guys remember the book series "Choose your own Adventure"?

Like a novel where you are placed in a setting but you get some say which direction you go with certain things - I think that's how our lives are too, God the creator places us, but we still have say on many things in our lives (free will part of it) but are restricted to certain parameters (this might be our genetics). But within those parameters events happen beyond our understanding (say miracles). Our finite minds can't come to understand everything so we are also required to have an element of FAITH, in addition to our reason (scientific logic)

Lourdes is documented by medical doctors! Did you not read the whole story? Doctors inspected both them and turned none believers into men of faith!

Kinda. Thats a good attempt at speculation, unlike the other 2 here today.

Maybe it can also be said it's for a greater good. We all have a cross to carry in one capacity or another. I know when I see a kid in a wheel chair who was born that way I have to be thankful for the little I have, which gives perspective that little is way more than you think - it's humbling in that sense and re-equalizes your mind so you can get over yourself.
