Hi, I'm a long time lurker, but this thread made me wonder about something enough to register and post for the first time :)
English is not my native language so bear with me...

I've noticed that some of the guys who bought RU from CSS a while ago complained that their situation has worsened - Is it possible that some hair follicles are sensitive to RU just as they are sensitive to DHT? it does bind to the androgen receptor, who said this must be a good thing? :)

Just thought I would point out that the link doesn't seem to work.

That is exactly the preventative cure to male pattern baldness. Stopping testosterone and DHT is the answer. Some idiot has to make this and get it fda approved and on USA store shelves. People will buy it over rogain if it works with no sexual sides I guarantee it. Market it as prevention for young men that alone would make enough money. I just dont understand why something like this wasnt made earlier.

People using RU before make no difference. RU needs to be studied still and dosage and formulation would need to be studied. People making up custom batches of RU dont know what they are doing so there results arent really that important.

Also I think its safe to say no one has a dam clue why hair grows on your head with no testosterone or dht. Lets just accept this and get some product that can prove it stops both in the scalp. If RU actually does as it supposedly does which is a big if still, then this would pretty much completely halt male pattern baldness if androgens are really responsible for male pattern baldness as science leads us to believe.

One more thing the first post has a link that no longer works.

Also can someone explain to me what exactly sebum does and its relation to androgens? What does smad -7 pathway and hair turning into sebaceous glands have to do with androgens? Is taking propecia the safest best bet to stop all this? or should someone 25 years old wait for something safer like RU?

Was there ever any tentative human data released from the PSK3841 trial?
I don't think so, unfortunately. All we really have is anecdotal evidence from members of these forums, as well as this study which showed promising results, in which balding human scalp samples were grafter onto nude mice: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9415227.

I'm not sure how good a treatment RU58841 (PSK3841) really is to be honest. It doesn't appear to come close to the effectiveness of finasteride, and there's a thread on these forums about it possibly being able to cause cancer, which you can view here: https://www.hairlosstalk.com/intera...-have-been-dropped-for-causing-cancer.122018/
