Topical Finasteride - User Experiences

I will be reciving my Morr f 10 tomorrow to hop on the tropical finasteride bandwagon. I normally don't participate in these threads but I thought I may as well give my input and maybe help someone in a similar situation to myself.

The attached pic is my current state with a #1 guard buzz cut, I've been using minoxidil for a little over two months and using a dermapen, 1.5mm weekly for a month.

So far I have experianced a shed lasting approximately 5 weeks starting at week 2, which then subsided. General thickness is now around the level where it was when I started, however I have noticed random stray hairs near the temple area that were previously bare.

I'll try to update this thread monthly with my progress. Any input or predictions about my progress are more then welcome.

i have used 10% morrf for 4 months now and i am bery happy with the result, i think you have made a good choice and think you will regain a full head of hair.

i ve been using ~ 0.2mg topical finasteride/day for 3months after quitting oral (was using for 2.5 years ) .
Not sure about its efficacy yet , but sides are way less and if i skip a dose i feel perfectly fine . I usually get mild ball ache when i use too much for some days and i know it starts accumulating so i skip a dose and its all good . I believe a dose of 0,1 - 0.15mg should be fine .

After a few centuries battling hair loss, I hath decided to go to a dermatologist. That gent wouldn't prescribe me the topical finasteride from Farmacia Paratti but hath given me a solution of minoxidil 5% and finasteride 0,1%. Would that be the famous MorrF?

MorrF is something doctors in Europe dont prescribe, its a generic medicine made in India and sold over the counter in indian pharmacies for about €5-10

These are later sold on Ebay etc to a lot of people here (including me

I think you are right about this. I'm using about 0.12mg (0.006%/2ml) and till now fine. Shedding is reduced but not fully stopped

By regular i mean the active ingredient , afaik its in powder form , mines premixed with an alcohol vehicle i m getting it from some local pharmacy but i still mix it with minoxidil . Although all this alcohol is sort of making my head itchy sometimes , or it might be the minoxidil since i increased the dosage a bit idk.
You can probably buy finasteride+ minoxidil online , maybe this morr-f or some essengen product i saw .

I have been using 0.05% topical for 4 days now , seem to be getting side effects, low libido and mild ball ache, no morning wood for 2 days.

Not sure if I should stop or just using it every few days or so, I might just stick to minoxdil and my zinc thymulin, maybe start derma stamping.

Are you using then a 0.02% concentration or 0.2%?
Have you had libido problems with oral pill?

its a 0.05 % , im mixing 0.4ml of it with minoxidil for a dose . Yea i had some issues , most obvious difference i notice is that i get morning wood with topical but with oral it was kinda gone

Yes, from farmacia parati .

The sides are bearable , but definitely evident .

Don't think I will continue with it, I'm stuck with a 6 month supply though.

About 1.5 month ago I started a formulation that contains 0.1% finasteride since I was freaking out and have been experiencing massive scalp burning and hair shedding. Don't know why exactly. This formulation brought the itch down to literally zero and my scalp feels great. The formulation is extremely thick/viscous and I think the deep skin penetration is low since I'm not experiencing the typical brain fog and limp dick that I did when trying oral finas. Perhaps I'll try to upload some pictures in half a year. For now there's allot of peach fuzz on my hairline and thicker hair has sprouted as well (about 1 cm long). Running my fingers along my scalp I also notice many small hairs that I can catch between thumb and index finger, this is typically a sign for me that good stuff is happening.

1. What formulation / product are you using ?

2. Why were you experiencing massive scalp burning and hair shedding ? Is it because of taking oral finsteride ?

Hi Sorry to jump in I also want to use Topical Finasteride and I see MacGrathMedical in texas prescribes it. Has anyone used them? Thanks for the help.

Just got a prescription made up for my Liposomal Finasteride (@2.5%) +Minoxodil (@5%). My compounding chemist says he can get this made up for me at a specialist pharmacy in Sydney as he thinks I might have some trouble getting the solution through international customs due to Finasterides drug class in Australia.

What do you think, @ZenHead? Take a risk and get Parati to make it up, or get it made by an Aussie?

Another pro of getting this made local is it will be MUCH cheaper.
