Just wondering how many of you use both a topical and oral antiandrogen. Is it common or is using an oral good enough?

I'm looking into adding a topical but I don't know if it's worth all the hassle of adding it to my routine (I'm using both minoxidil and folligen right now) and money is kind of tight at the moment as well.

A combo will work nicely. Check out el_duto, he only uses top/oral anti-androgens and have kept his hair nicely.

But I wouldn't start topical if your hairloss is manageable at the present. Topical spironolactone isn't hard to apply but it shouldn't be mixed with minoxidil right away, so that would be a little more hassle in your routine.

I don't really think it's common because topical only add a little bit of "power" to your regime if you are on finasteride. Attack hair loss from different points are always better than just one, but how much effect it really has is questionable if one have good success with just finasteride.

And again, there is really no answer to the main question you ask. It helps, but how much, no one really knows. From the top of my head I would think a combo of 1mg finasteride(if one have no sides) and Proxiphen(combo of lots of ingredients including minoxidil, sod, spironolactone etc) would probably keep the hair on your head for decades.
