Topical rice bran oil comparable to 2% minoxidil?

Hi, there is a study published in 2023 which showed that rats exposed to UV light experienced hair regrowth on topical rice bran oil that was comparable to 2% minoxidil. The paper can be found here:

On the fifth page, there is a striking photo comparing a placebo, minoxidil, and rice bran oil rat which I've attached to this post.

What are your thoughts? Rice bran oil is very cheap and easily accessible at any supermarket. I have a big bottle with me right now that I originally bought to cook with and I'm considering applying 2 mL of it with a pipette/dropper to my scalp every day alongside the usual treatments like finasteride and minoxidil that are proven to work.

Mice grow hair from whatever they are watered with, even if they take a piss on them, they will grow a mane. The mouse model is not suitable for research.
