can someone remind me why tricomin did not finish the trials (FDA)?
... it didn't work well ? :)

They didn't have the money to invest in it.

________

How that is possible?

if they were FDA approved they would make tons of millions!

We only have two FDA approved treatments.

Everyone would buy tricomin, and tricomin is so expensive! $50 for a bottle of 1 month right? If you apply in your entire scalp.

FDA trials cost a ton of money and FDA approval is no guarentee of riches.

Rogaine and propecia haven't been gigantic never ending bags of money.

EXACTLY. In fact, Rogaine and Propecia have been big disappointments for their respective companies in sales. One shudders at the idea of a small company like Procyte spending hundreds of millions of $$$ just to pursue FDA approval for Tricomin (even if they could get that much money somehow), and then having little additional improvement on sales than they already do.

i prefer folligen, tricomin is just too damn expensive.

I apply it at night, 5 minutes after minoxidil. Then 5 minutes after that i use emu oil.

Without making other comment: Most copper-peptide complexes are green. The more effective copper-peptide SOD-mimetics tend to be naturally blue-colored, as is the parent superoxide dismutase enzyme. This comes from a charge-transfer complex between copper and the imidazole group of the amino acid histidine. This mimics the active site of superoxide dismutase.

BTW, there are other SOD-mimetics besides the copper peptides. Here is the primary patent for copper peptides, etc.

United States Patent 5,470,876 Nov. 28, 1995

Topical sod for treating hair loss

Inventors: Proctor; Peter H.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Abstract
SOD for treating hair loss is disclosed. The SOD has utility in a topical pharmaceutical formulation for the cosmetic treatment of hair loss and the cosmetic stimulation of hair growth. The SOD comprises copper salicylate, copper aspirinate, indomethacin-copper, or a complex of an amino acid or peptide and a transition metal.

So tricomin is really the best, but no studies to prove it...

Didn't know is so difficult to get FDA approval. And i though rogaine and propecia would sell like hell... They are the only treatments approved to FDA and proving they work for balding!

Anyone getting results with tricomin?

I dropped my treatment, my hair doesn't become dry from nizoral anymore. And also tricomin destroys pillows.

Jojje, what's your regimen?

Are you only using tricomin in your temples?

Maybe that's a good add-on.
