I've just started on finasteride, cut into quaters, and I got it off the internet from a company called Hexmed, they have Proscar, Propecia and Avodart, can't remember exactly how much, I think it was about £65 - £70max, for 30 tablets, on the basis that these can be cut into 5, if your careful enough, that works out to about £14 per month. It was delivered in 1 week, ordered friday, received friday, including all postage charges, and there was no mention of VAT or any other charges. Has anyone else used these?. I think the meds must be Ok as i'm going through a shed since I started. Bugger!
I looked at the Boots Hair programme, there was a store not far from me in Birmingham, but after I eventually got someone to answer the freeking phone, they told me the person was only in a couple of days a week, and she would call me back, never got the call, and couldn't get through again, got fedup waiting, and have now gone down this route.

That sounds pricey...

Am glad I just googled minoxidil uk, 40ish quid for 4 months minoxidil supply, and frankly since I started using it I feel theres less hairs if none coming out now but its also possible cos ive buzzed to grade 0 so my hairs are shorter and stronger.

Gets me thinking if thats not one of the reasons of hair loss? perhaps guys with longer hair see it faster... and guys with shorter hair dont !?

Either way the minoxidil is helping and the finasteride dunno about that but I gotta admit on almost 2 months on both that and nizoral shampoo the big 3, my hairs have improved in looks/strength perhaps some newer hairs have appeared just cant tell !

like has already been stated

dr ashcroft for proscar

http://www.hairhelp.myzen.co.uk/?q=node/7

'' Get a Proscar Prescription

I get many emails re people wanting to start Propecia / Proscar and as I’ve stated on other posts I can if you would like put you in touch with my GP who prescribes me with it and has done for 6 yrs. a 15 month supply is £120.00 :)

Unlike others GP'S whom seem to know very little about Propecia/Proscar my GP has been on Propecia longer than I have and knows a great deal about it and can help you by answering any questions you have via a phone consultation.

In the consultation he will inform you about the use of the drug and assess whether or not you are a potential candidate.

Dr John Ashcroft

Tel: 07971472823

I'm still more than happy to answer question about it via email but just wanted to put you guys directly in touch to save time.

Dr Ashcroft can post the Proscar out to you anywhere within the U.K but unfortunately not outside due to licensing laws.

i have used this doctor,he is completely legitimate, professional and i can personally vouch for him

UK Customers: Best value GENIUNE generic 1mg finasteride is Finpecia ordered 12 monthly from In House Pharmacy. The total cost for a years supply is: £106 + £12 custom charge = £118 per year which works out to £9.80 a month. A snip compared to the £45 cost of Propecia in high street drug stores or £60+ charged by UK based online suppliers of Propecia. It is definately geniune - I went to great lengths checking my order for autheticity.

Here to help.

Can you post the results of the lab analysis you had done and name the lab that carried it out for us please?

Dear Sir, Ive helped out more newbies on this forum than any other member past or present (save Gardener). I put a lot of effort into verifying my Finpecia order from In House was genuine. I got a friend in the pharma industry to cross check all the batch codes with a Cipla rep he is on good terms with in France. They all checked out. This, for me, prove beyond doubt the medication is not fake. Producing counterfeits this water tight would prohibt their sale for less than the price of the geniune stuff. I thought I would share this with the forum, as there are a lot of scams out there and its nigh on impossible not to fall victim unless youve done a little research.
So everyone other than medmax84, believe me when I say Finpecia and In House are legit. I would (and do) openly destroy companies/snake oils I believe to be ripping off my fellow Norwoods.

:jackit: So because you post on this forum (promoted by hairlosstalk.com that actually sells finasteride...) a lot you deserve automatic trust? Give me a break. What you just did was not necessarily proof (it was all your words which could be fabricated) that you are legit but at least you explained yourself. That shows that you think we're worth more than a "just-trust-me, you idiots" approach.

That said, I was a jackass. My apologies. I could have elicited this response from you without being so rude. I'm a little bitchy from having to go back to sitting in front of textbooks now that school has started back up. Eff med school.

I believe I have earnt this trust over the years with my frank, to the point, no bullshit posts. And if you were around a few years ago you would know I rubbished practically every product sold on this site.
Nothing changes - people here seek advice, and yet are all to quick to shoot down those who answer their call. Sad really.

I'm sorry I'm a med student and if I believed everything everyone told me it would not only be a disservice to myself but to my future patients. Reports must be substantiated. I think if you really put yourself in my shoes, you'd agree. You're right, you have seniority and I should have given you more respect.

I appreciate post-ers like Britannia, he's trying to help people out. Give the guy a break.

If there was no real truth anywere we would all be paranoid freaks. Sometimes you just have to trust people, and a guy defending a respectable company like inhouse pharm who has posted many times on this forum is the most least likely person to be scamming people.

I've no doubt that your intentions are good nor that Inhouse are a legitimate company but the only way to be sure each batch is 100% genuine is to have it analysed by a lab.

The fact that i've personally had bad experiences with Finpecia from batches that were either suspect or had somehow deteriorated in transit has made me very wary of Internet Pharmacies.

Since switching to genuine prescription finasteride i've had no such problems and am seeing progress for the first time. Take from that what you will but if it's available cheap on genuine prescription it should be a no brainer to go for that option really.

just thot id say that when my doctor gave me a private prescription for propecia the cost price was £90 for 3months supply (i sneaked a look at his computer screen) but when i went to the pharmacy they were charging £120!! so I went to Tesco & got it for around £98. a few places online are doing it for about £94.

so it pays to shop around.

Boots do it for £90 for 3 months and will provide you with a prescription.
