Will they test the follicles for DHT resistance before multiplying it ? If not, then lets say, a guy was so damn out of luck that the follicle extracted from the back of his hair is DHT sensitive and gone through the expensive process and 10 years later, he is bald again ?

That is what kept failing in older attempts afaik. As soon as the hair cycle was over, the hair didn’t grow back. But apparently Tsuji has beaten it. Time will tell.

"As soon as the hair cycle was over, the hair didn’t grow back" => maybe they missed something in the past ?

As for now, the idea was simple, take the best follicle, multiply then put back to the scalp. However, how can Tsuji assure that the follicle is the "best" (I mean, strong against DHT). There will be a fair chance that he will be multiplying a sick follicle successfully, which can last for a few cycle and then be fucked by DHT once again.

I very much doubt there'd be any point in Tsuji having clinical trials for follicles that only grew for one cycle. That'd be a worthless product.

Possible, I am not sure though, even in the very worst cases do hairs at the very back of the neck ever fall out or are they just thinning, unless you have dupa.

They've got a month to close out the pre-clinical trials (which they said they'll finish this year) if they are successful they won't start human trials until March (someone else said March) next year.

Even if it doesn't work it's a massive step closer to actual hair cloning and understanding it.

Just follow riken bdr or whatever it is on Twitter etc, something will come out soon. (It'll probably be on here first).

Have faith in Tsuji et al.

Was that March date for human trials confirmed somewhere? I hope so. And, if so and there are no delays, it could well indicate there are no technical roadblocks in the procedure and it should move rather quickly into the next phase. This is salvation for me but with science instead of spirituality. Even so, I'm prayin' like a mo'fo.

Think someone on the forum said March.. they officially said 2019 was the aim. I just hope it works in human trials. They seem you have taken the most thorough approach to hair cloning.

The march date came from someones interpretation of the press release. And then everyone was just taking it as a fact.

So unfortunatly just a wild guess (maybe there is another official source which I am not aware. But this is how i remember the march thing came up)

There was a link on the Organ Technologies site from last week. With Tsuji and their commercial/business chief on a Japanese government publishing.

http://dwl.gov-online.go.jp/video/cao/dl/public_html/gov/book/hlj/20181001/html5m.html#page=25

Pages 24 & 25.

Still seem confident of implementing it in 2020 on there.

@hanginginthewire

Where are you? I feel this thread doesn't have enough of your emo blood spilled on it right now. We need more unfounded pessimism. Tell us how this is a bust and the scientists are wrong. Plz, man. I need my morphine drip of self pity and nihilism.

What's happening with this forum when there hasn't been a whiny post about how everything sucks and we're not gonna make it brahs in a thread for nearly a whole week!?

Same usual pictures and talk, so nothing new. More importantly they still seem confident of implementing it in 2020 on there.
I got even more excited when I saw 28 germs = 128 follicles then I realized they probably just forgot the 1.

he believes that they were wrong to put 28 germs were equal to 128 follicles, he believes that he lacked to put 128 germs is equal to 128 follicles
I see.
The thing is the same numbers have been repeated, so if they were wrong the first time, they should have changed them the second or third time.
