vellus hairs and rogaine

Hi,

I am 26 years old Norwood 3.5

I've been applying rogaine for one month now and my whole scalp has been covered with vellus hairs.

I am wondering if these vellus hairs will turn terminal? if that's so then I might go back to being a Norwood 2.5 I am getting so excited but I don't wanna expect miricales

everyone on here who uses minoxidil or big 3, 50/50 well I would say its perhaps much lower sadly if you catch the hair loss nice and early and apply where there is still hair left then you may yet get to keep it. Otherwise if you are seeing vellus hairs in a baldish area the chances of them all sprouting out and becoming fresh new healthy strong hairs is pretty low. I have been on the big 3 for 6 years and all I had was vellus hairs... only about 6-8 sprouted out ever. The Vellus hairs do however give a better appearance if you have some longer or existing hairs in place, without them its just a shiny bald spot.

Still at 26 your a young man so the body may and hair regrowth may work better for you, so don't give up !

Also the existing hairs got longer!!!!

About 3.5-4 roughly, most hair at front is gone giving me a much higher forehead making me look like a right ****, slight loss at back of head but not so bad yet down south.

But @ 36+. You still have plenty youth and hope so keep trying and hopefully am all wrong and you get some good regrowth.

I think for most guys and regulars on here, they all moved to wigs/Hair transplants in the end !

Your still young but there is a certain irony that 10 years later when your an old git like myself you will look back and perhaps say wish I had started all this when I had much more hair and not left it too late, but its life anyhow....

My head just got filled with all these vellus hairs if I get them terminal I'll be in hair heaven lol

I am now regroing what seems terminal hairs

I have a buzz cut though who knows how they will turn out!

Congratulations, those are impressive results. Did you achieve this with just rogaine? Do you use foam or liquid and how many applications per day?

I did this with two other things and it isn't finasteride or nizoral

I'll update this in another three months and if I am not bald I will post my regime.....my hair still looks quite bad its just that that cellphone is crappy =p

I use foam and 2 apps per day btw

To know how much hair I shed I wash my hair with a bard of soap

I am noticing I am shedding 10-15 vellus hairs everyday, all of them about 1\12 of an inch

My hairline is still the same, only full of vellus hairs about 1/8 of an inch

Along my crown and places I had hair the vellus hairs have grown to about a half inch

I also believe I have grown some terminal hair, but my hair right now is only about 1 inch in lenght

I will let my hair grow a bit, and if it doesn't look too ridiculous I will let it grow and see what happens

If I continue improving I will say the other product I am using. I feel that 3 months is too short of a time frame. 6-24 months should be a good time frame
