No matter what You have more hair than when you started, congrats. I am older than you but have the same pattern as you but a little more thickness and cant do the internal pills or minoxidil 2x daily or I have sides, I am derma rolling and using minoxidil every other day, using miconozal on other days, nizoral 3x week, msm, biotin and vitamins and I hope I can have the percentage of improvement. Good luck I hope it continues at the pace it is improving it will encourage the rest of us

Thanks for replying :)

Did you have the same degree of hairloss like I did at the beginning?

Also what is derma rolling?

My hair loss was about 1/2 or so, so not quite as much but was getting there.
Derma rolling is basically taking a roller with small needles to your scalp. Theory is the injuries will increase blood flow and increase healing. Going to try it, it looks promising in some studies as do a lot of stuff lol. Rolling once a week till red or a little blood not as much as some. Hoping for the best but not expecting much.

Interesting theory

Although, wouldn't the hair scalp get damaged as well?

I am having as of recently the gut feeling that I should stop my treatments for awhile....I imagine I'll give my scalp a week or maybe 2 weeks of a break

from what I hear taking a break from minoxidil can be bad, if its working let it work, wouldn't you hate to lose all that progress for a wrong gut feeling. derma rolling is all over the boards, some people that weren't having success with minoxidil added derma rolling and it grew hair, others haven't had any luck. the derma roller I bought was only 16 bucks on ebay, worth a shot

I'll look into it.

Sounds pretty painful

Its been 3 days without any treatments to my hair....my mind doesn't know if I should put on my treatments...my heart is telling me not to put on minoxidil

I may apply it once tomorrow or the next day

One thing I have noticed in these past 3 days is that my shed has stopped. I was shedding about 15 hairs a day, some looked terminal others vellus. I am not sure if this is a good thing or not.

Plus there's the whole "oh maybe rogaine is just trying to make a ton of money and we are putting on too much" thing

Also minoxidil has a ton of alcohol in it....perhaps the scalp does need breaks?

My mind is now saying no to minoxidil

@sixsix5

Never give up the fight.

If you grew it back before, guess what? You CAN GROW BACK AGAIN. It wasn't that long
ago.

You just need to use medication that's MORE AGRESSIVE!

I need to upload photos and show you it IS POSSIBLE.

Here they are. Now I spend too much on my hair to keep/regrow it.

Had I taken Finasteride in my twenties, I probably would be a Norwood 1/2 now.

@rclark ; what is your regimen ?
are you using minoxidil ? you have nice hair !

Thanks. I appreciate that.

I use Bimaprost (.003%), Minoxidil 15%, Finasteride .1% , Hydrocortisone .1%, Progesterone 2%. I just got
Progesterone raised from .5% to 2% as well.
