anything involving only 3 people is not even close to evidence in my book. especially when the vast majority of large studies done on this have shown that finasteride has no effect on sperm counts. also there are a few posters on this site who have fathered children while on finasteride.

but yeah if your worried, stop finasteride and get the test done again. simplest way to find out. make sure there are no other changes in your situation other than the removal of finasteride.

I have not seen any studies, and am not sure about fertility. But let's be real. Propecia alters sperm and libido. The only question is if it is permanent, and the body will readjust if you stop taking.

all studies iv seen suggest that all finasteride side effects are reversible.

also, people may have fathered children when on it yes, but u can have an extremely low sperm count and still father children. not saying they did have an extremely low sperm count but if they did sometimes it doesnt make much of a difference.

basically my feeling on the matter is, i hate my semen being so runny and not much coz its not normal, and is abit disgusting.

also, if finasteride was affecting sperm i do not wanna be f*****g with it. but once iv seen the doctor il be sure to let u all know on here. different bodies react differently to treatment

I think you can say that finasteride will not help if you have pre-existing fertility problems.

For everyone else, it's perfectly fine.

seen my doctor. its about 3 week waiting list for him.

Anyway, he implied that there havent been many studies on younger people. And with 50 year olds and that it is different because there are no tests on sperm count etc..., runny semen etc..

I think that these side effects wudnt affect older people as they have sex ALOT less and they have other problems anyway.

My Doctor said hes gonna check on the amount of time propecia takes to get out of the body stopping side effects, then i will be able to have a full fertility test.

But, he said finasteride belongs to the group of drugs known to go spermatogenesis (or whatever), which is reversible, but does make ur sperm fucked up. I suggested maybe its because i had a hernia and hydrocele operation but he discredited this.

He also said i should stop looking on the internet as it makes him laugh the amount of bullshit out there. He also beleives propecia has caused me urinary problems, and says wait til u have been off it for awhile and u will be normal.

So basically its like a test, im gonna see if my feeling of needing a wee sumtimes when i dnt goes, and have that fertility test after a certain period.
