Not many on this forum will disagree with me that dermatologists don't care about hair loss. Like others have said you may not be balding so you shouldn't be messing around with your hormones if you don't need to. Be certain that you are losing your hair first before going on finasteride.
Generally speaking any hair you gain from using rogaine means you have to keep using it indefinantly but herein lies the problem I mentioned - you should only go on one drug at a time to see what is working and what (if any) side effects you get. So
1. Ask yourself are you balding? If yes then go on finasteride.
2. After 3 months if you have no side effects go on minoxidil. Simples.

Ok I think my hairline has receded a little on the temples, many others on different forums say my hairline sits at a norwood 1 and say no treatment is necessary and just to monitor it for changes. While some others say there is miniaturization present on my hairline and i should consider minoxidil like my derm. Half of me thinks that the accutane induced hair loss wil reveres while half of me thinks that it sparked my male pattern baldness early as ****. Is it also normal to lose 30-35 hairs in the shower + towel drying???

Your hair and skin looked so much better here.
No my skin was worse. This grainy pictures on macbook 2012 don’t do any justice lol. But I did just finish an accutane course during that time so maybe that’s why. Skin always looks amazing after a fresh course of accutane.

@DoctorHouse these old posts were back when I was 19. 7 years ago! So you’d say I definitely changed? Should I get on finasteride now then? Took these pics recently to compare.

You looked like you were thinning at the hairline a tiny bit in your 2014 posts but your hair hasn't progressed much at all over the years, maybe it's a maturing hairline?

Yeah it’s been really hard to track for me. Even 7 years later. Do you think I should hop on finasteride or not ideal at this time?
