are you comfortable using ru for another 5/10 years (possibly longer if other treatments dont pan out)?

Good god NO! I don't want to dick around with any more of this crap just to SAVE hair. I want all of my hair back NOW and live my f*****g life already.

is the regimen in your avatar still the one your using?

Yes and no, I get lazy a lot cuz I'm fed up with this sh*t.

i meant in terms of using an experimental drug. youve been using it for 5 years now with no side effects to report as yet right? are you cool using in the long term, if you have to?

i imagine you must be one the longest users of ru around, aside from el duterino

i hear that man. i gave up using min after applying that sh*t everyday for 2 years. back on it now after 2 years off it.

what exactly is your regimen these days?

In that case, yes. I don't think i've got any sides... sex drive has been down for years but that could be because im just getting old and the hair loss thing depresses me incredibly.

Regimen is as it is in my profile... it's just on and off.

Yep.

Sometime in the next 1 - 2 years, we'll know exactly what Shiseido and Follica can do and I'm quite confident at this point that they will be satisfactory for me. I just need to see it.

When that happens, I'll have no more reason to frequent these forums, and I'll just read straight from the source in 2019 on Tsuji's trials.

Really, that's what everyone who comes to this subforum is looking for — that one bit of news that will allow them to just get on with life knowing that they won't have to live with hairloss for much longer.

I think you'll get pivotal news from Follica or Shiseido within 6 - 14 months. I also think you could get pivotal news from Tsuji within 6 months to 1 year.

And I think that when people find out for certain that a universal hair loss cure is in the pipeline the hair loss websites will start dying. And the site owners are going to be stuck holding the bag. The regular posters will just sort of go their own way and disappear.

This is why I think that Admin should start focusing on himself instead of us. He talks about paying the entire amount needed for the Congress trip but I think he would be better served to hold onto that money because he will probably need it soon since hair loss is almost cured, and once it's cured these hair websites will start dying shortly thereafter.

I don't think so. I think the forums are gonna have a huge influx of new members and discussion boards as soon as there is solid news coming out. And will continue to grow for the next 10 years.

Everyone will wanna see people's results with Shiseido, Tsuji et al. People will be discussing accommodation costs, expectations, hair count, etc for at least a decade or two until these treatments become household names like Minoxidil and finasteride

Maybe.
If you got your hair back, I guess, you would have other priorities, though.

This is NO hair transplant thread.

No sh*t, Sherlock. I bet noobs like you and @Newerah didn't even get what I said. Registration date: July 2017,lol OK.
Now keep disliking my posts.Even if you dislike them or not, you will get the same thing out of this congress: nothing.
Hellouser and other senior members have every right to attend if they want so. They are fully aware though of the possibilty of no interesting or promising news.

@hellouser not sure if this idea has already been thrown out, but is there anywhere we can submit questions to be asked at the conference? And if so, is there a google Doctor or something where these are stored to see what is already planned on being asked, etc?

Yes! Like I did with the Miami congress, I'll be compiling a list of questions for all researchers attending once I meet with them (assuming I do of course, which shouldn't be a problem).

If these treatments work then people will have their hair back in 3 years OR LESS. Once people get their hair back they will become active in real life socializing and they won't have time for hair loss websites anymore. Why would people waste time coming back here for 7 years after they get their hair back?

We'll even start reducing our visits to all hair loss websites, including this site, shortly after pivotal news of a breakthrough is released - and that could happen within 6 months to 1 year. I do believe that either Follica, Shiseido, or Tsuji will probably report pivotal news within 6 months to 1 year.

How sad it will be if Admin pays more money (than the $150 he has already paid) to cover the costs of the Congress trip and the news that comes from that Congress heralds the gradual but rapid death of his website over a few months. It doesn't seem fair that he should pay thousands of dollars to cover the cost of the Congress trip when that Congress will probably produce news that kills his website.

I recommend that Admin should hang onto his resources because he may need them sooner than he realizes.

I think the forums will still be very active for the next 2-3 decades actually.

First of all, the best treatments are possibly from Japan, where you have to travel. There's an awful lot of youngsters balding, and they will be looking for answers and alternatives to flying to Japan.

Another thing is information about these treatments, how many people will actually know about them? How many people know about the big 3? They come here asking what they should use, looking for info, people still don't know how effective the big 3 is. It will be the same with all of these upcoming treatments, if they work.

Thirdly, what if the upcoming treatments just slow down hair loss? People will still want regrowth, they'll want to know what's next in terms of regrowth.

Lastly, everybody is different, so sometimes a treatment doesn't work on someone, or works less effectively, or even has negative side effects and these people will still come here looking for answers. People don't know about the big 3, but some do and still don't use it because of finasteride side effects.

I wish I won't be frequently logging in to a hair loss support forum 5 years from now, because reason being i'm an 'NW0'. But i'm gonna go ahead and lower my expectations and say yes, I will be here asking questions, looking to see what's best for me.

mate is there any reason why you wouldnt get a hair transplant now yourself?

or are you trying to hold out for these new treatments to arrive

Seeing how the Japan congress is coming up, once I get there and see the news/development, I'll probably make up my mind then.

What news?
Haven't you read the program yet?
There is very little likelihood we get any news from the conference itself and the big names aren't gonna open up their mouths and spill their plans or reply with specific wording to your questions.

You're assuming all people. Not everyone is gonna be able to pay for the astronomical costs of these treatments. So people who don't get the treatments, which will be a lot, will need a place to come. Also, these treatment might not work 100 percent, so people will be posting about failures, or treatments that didn't meet their expectations.
These forums will be around for a long time.

It aint gonna happen. Posters who can't get to Japan for Tsuji's treatment will use Follica right here. Mark my words, these hair loss websites will start dying within 6 months to 1 year. There will be very little traffic here 1 year from now. A year or two later the hair loss websites will be dead.

Assuming Follica delivers next year....

...they better.
