Meanwhile, ppl i know who started finasteride at around their 20s, today look much younger. Including myself. I'm 41 and look 28 at max.

I'm not defending finasteride or anything- I hate it, actually. But saves my hair.

Maybe DHT is responsible for some aspects of the aging process..

DHT only makes you bald and old.

The problem is the enzyme, not DHT.

Hello, this is Science.

Finasteride doesn’t make you look younger at all, instead it makes you look worse most of the time. What finasteride does is feminize you. As a man, feminization should not be confused with youth. Also, finasteride leads to dhea reduction over time, which definitely makes you older and weaker since dhea is the youth hormone.

There was a typo, pal. I just corrected for you.

There are already supplements that purportedly act similarly, Niagen,Benegene, AMPK activators, other nad+ supplements.
Metformin is the only one shown to act like caloric restriction, the only known thing to slow the aging process. But even, then, proof in humans is not available yet.

Come on now, my dude...you can’t say that with a straight face, when the contrary position is based on members claiming that finasteride makes you less rugged, because they have observed that in their friends.

You probably look just like the kid in your profile. Go to an endocrinologist or a hormone replacement doctor that doesn’t suck and they will attest to it. There is a reason steroid users who went off and now have to be on HRT supplement Test, hcg AND DHEA. You absolute tool.

Yeah, that "science" just occasionally ends up name calling when you don't have any proof for the bullshit you're selling.

Yeah, SOME of them. The majority of steroid users are fine when they stop. You're overblowing this statement on everybody to again, sell your bullshit. And I'm not even going there, because comparing steroids to finasteride users is retarded beyond imaginable.

PFS like symptoms. Full blown ED, no libido at all and popping joints...both shoulders. Softer errections and loss of libido remain 5 months past, which makes me consider hopping back on finasteride to at least have hair, when I cannot have a sex life by the looks of it.
So this sounds a little crazy but ive also experienced the majority of the symptoms you described. Although it took awhile for me to notice them. Ive already had one shoulder surgery and now the other hurts too. No accidents ever happened. They just went to sh*t. Also my right hip is beginning to hurt, again no accidents. Im sure its just old age catching up to me but you're the first person ive heard describe joint issues.

I found accounts of other people via a quick google search.

Cracking joints can actually be side effects of high estrogen levels. I am very sure it was the finasteride that did it, I had them for 4 months while on it and they basically immediately subsided after stopping the pill.

Finasteride inhibits Gh production too but increases its presence in the scalp. Decreases free testosterone by raising shbg and total T levels, the latter temporarily since lh decreases.

That would explain the joint issues and injuries. These also happen a lot when people take AIs/serms, for example tamoxifen. What does tamoxifen do besides it’s estrogenic actions? Yes, it tanks Gh.

Look at the dude, he is 49 and claims his biological age has been reduced by 24 years, making him 25. Look at his picture he looks exactly his age lol.

You do know that biological age is determend by a physics test.

You sit on a bycicle and the resistance is increased every 30 seconds and they see how long you can make it.
Then they compare your value with the average of each age group and voila there is your biological age.

That means a fit 60 year old who does a lot of training can easy have an biological age of 35. That does not mean he looks that young in any way.

Funny is that the doctor has the name sinclair like the guy from bioshok who invented a bilogical substance that gives you superpowers (but makes you strongly adicted and turns you into some kind of zombie).

And there you go, I did not know that but I suspected something like that. Point is the drug does not do much for skin ageing apparently.

f*** that sucks. That would explain a lot if the random injuries ive had, most for no apparent reason. Im on both finasteride and dutasteride, so im basically becoming Mr Glass
