What about SMP?
UCLA is trying to blame Trump for this stuff being slow to make it to the market even though there is a private company website for the stuff that says its still in stage 2 trials. Stage 3 starting possibly later this year.
This stuff if it works is basically just doing what the Taiwan researchers stuff supposedly does but it uses lactate to switch the hairs back on. I mean these 2 things could be game changers for some hair loss especially people that haven't reached Norwood 5 if it can actually make the shrunken follicle return to its normal size over time. The real big test is can either of these 2 things over a long period get the stem cells to create new hair where the follicle doesn't even exist anymore. They have shown recently that those stem cells are still there in the skin even after many years of the follicles being gone. It has been shown already severe burns can make those stem cells create new hair.

That's right, stem cells remain in the scalp even after hair loss. This makes sense because the scalp continues to regenerate, and these are the same stem cells that are already present. So we can question the benefit of adding MORE stem cells.

So it works on only 31 percent of users? Talk about worthless.
I think 31% had 20% + gains after 8 weeks but I read they were using people that had big balding areas also like severe NW4s. My guess is this like the fatty acids is probably the best for reviving dormant follicles if the area is still good enough to allow hair growth.

PP405 definitely shows promise but I wouldn’t call It the “miracle hair growth treatment” it’s being marketed as online. Phase II trials are complete but phase III is where it’ll show whether or not It can compete with current FDA approved treatments. Unfortunately, It works by reactivating dormant (sleeping) follicles, so It still requires follicles to work. In other words, individuals with progressive hair loss where follicles have “died” likely won’t show any additional benefit from this than other available treatments and would still require hair transplantation for definitive treatment. Hope this helps you with future planning!
If it's like the fatty acids which works the same way it could save follicles where no hair has been seen for 5 years. That was my result. That 2 year number they throw around isn't accurate. The little vertex spot I haven't had hair there for about 10 years it didn't save though.
