depens entirely on where you live to be fair. in some places not indulging your particular delusion equals social suicide, or at least makes you lose face. don't underestimate the tiranny of conformity, in reality you'll never truly know whether you pass the eye test or not

I'm curious though. do you have a delicate, graceful bone structure? thin wrists? no bass in your voice? etc etc.. I live in a liberal continental city and I see my fair share of troonies, most stick out like a sore thumb with a boob job
If you're honestly curious and not just trying to mock me, I will indulge.

I live in a rural rural town that leans conservative, but also am an hour and a half outside a liberal city that I frequently have to go to for work, so I experience both environments.

There was a time that I didn't pass and then slowly I did, so I def know the difference in how strangers perceive me. I wouldn't ever be comfortable presenting remotely feminine without passing, and for a time I didn't until it got to the point that strangers gendered me female whilst wearing male attire.

My build was always on the smallish side for a guy (5'7" with a thin bone structure, including thin wrists, since you asked)

As far as having a trans radar in which you think they all "stick out like a sore thumb," it's hard for you to truly know that, since if they pass you obviously wouldn't realize you didn't clock them.

Do you have a youtube channel or other media where I can see you in action?

I was asking in good faith. it's fascinating to me in a sense. do you feel better now? more at ease - now that you managed to shed your old skin, so to speak. (I was raised very conservative so I've always been hostile to lgbt issues, but my current gf has softened me up a bit so I'm more open to broadening my perspective )

as to your last point; that seems like common sense, but I have this unshakable, built-in belief that I can differentiate between a man and women in the blink of an eye. more a feeling, an instinct rather than a rational judgement

Oh I feel much better, night and day difference. But gender issues have plagued me as far as I can remember and every stage of my life was essentially feigning a smile while silently being sad that I couldn't express myself how I felt and be interested in the things that I truly was for fear of humiliation/rejection etc. So essentially transitioning has allowed me to be happy.

And thanks for chatting in good faith, even if you might not agree or see eye to eye with me on it all.

and you think they do that in good faith?
Some do. But yes some also don't for sure. I don't mind the minor joking/teasing etc, since I get thats just what guys do. But being treated subhuman here by some gets a little frustrating at times. I had an affinity for this forum since hairloss was something I dealt with at a time and I came to be obsessed with the science behind it/treating it. And I tend to come back here on occasion to try and contribute and be helpful since I have a lot of empathy for those experiencing this condition. But yeah many times I wonder if its in vain since half the times it results in me having to defend that I'm actually a person worth being treated with any decency. But I also know thats not everyone who is like that and some people are indeed respectful/kind.
