What is causing me to lose hair on the side of my head?

Sometimes it seems to me that if someone comes to this forum and says "I don't have an arm", they will advise him to take finastrid 10 mg and say that this is genetics.

Guy, what is happening to you is not the norm, and you need to blame genetics only when everything that could be done and checked has already been done and checked. Do a biopsy and check for blood circulation, thick arteries run from the sides, which, for example, can be pinched or clogged.

Just as an update, I'm like 80% convinced I have Alopecia Ophiasis now. Definitely experiencing male pattern baldness too because baldness is in the family and my hairline has receded in a regular way, but I'm like pretty sure I've got Alopecia Ophiasis as well. Might go to the doctor for it, might not. Doesn't really matter at this point, if that's the case it's game over for my hair.

It actually looks like pretty common effect of PB. The sides and the nape lool like they've been hit for a while now. Some men tend to get their sides and nape bombed early on. If you pull hairs from your sides and nape in with your fingers, do you have any left in between your fingers?

If you mean like if I gently pull in those regions do hairs fall out? Yes. Tons. Seemingly endless honestly, I feel like I could count 200+ hairs a day from just the back of my head.

I see what you mean. Quite often that is a sign of male pattern baldness. Sides and back of the head / nape going away in time. Usually at this stage, depending on hair's texture, the shorter the hair is, the fuller the aspect of it.

Retrograde, which is a form of androgenic alopecia. Often guys who lose it on the sides eventually lose it on top in the classic male pattern baldness patterns.

There’s your answer. It’s not super dupa or anything else like it. You’re just balding like your old man.
Surely something irregular is going on in the back, no? Look at my most recent pics. That is aggressive thinning in the back for someone who's hairloss is not that advanced yet. I actually just scheduled something with a derm to check it out, but ultimately it doesn't really matter honestly. My hairloss journey is done. I lost. Transplants aren't an option now. Hair systems aren't an option now. All my copes are gone. I'll be forced in too the early bald look. Pretty devastated about it honestly, but hopefully I can come the terms with it and live a decent life.

Id this was DUPA, you would experience the same thinning all over your head hence the term unpatterned. The only way to really assess the pattern your thinning follows now is to buzz it. You may see the staple male pattern baldness thinning behind the ears, back of head - the southern border of a horseshoe shaped thick hair. Often times the next thing going away is the vertex, top of the scalp, front... While it must be hard to experience this at a young age, if you ride this well it will give you the opportunity to live most of your adulthood as a confident man rather than someone who is totally taken by surprise in his late stages of adulthood.

Any pictures of your dad at 22?
