I would avoid coming to the US unless you work for a top tier company making a ton of $, or are studying some specialized PhD at a top university.
Suck a wienerI also live in Germany. My family moved here when I was a child.
I think Germany is an extremely pleasant country to live in, and the people are wonderful. I think the Germans have a remarkable sense of camaraderie and are a warm-hearted, curious, and welcoming people.
I think they have less spontaneity about them than people from the USA, which has both positive and negative aspects.
I also really appreciate that the Germans have truly grappled with the demons of their past, FAR more so than so many other nations.
And of course, Germany has a fantastic tradition of literature, poetry, science and engineering.
Overall, I am most grateful to the people of this great and glorious nation. My main gripe? I'd say the German sense of humour isn't quite as good as that of my native people But I can live with that.
Mein Herz schlägt schwarz, rot, gold!

I will never have to ask you for your personal opinion, as long as I am able to open page 1 of buzzfeed and Vice magazine.I also live in Germany. My family moved here when I was a child.
