What should be your Testosterone levels, what is too high
Wow. My T level is about 317 ng/dl, and I would say I am healthy, besides balding severly at 17, since I am 13.400ng/dl is what i'd consider the bare acceptable minimum. 500ng/dl -> 800 ng/dl is good and healthy. if you are above 800 ng/dl thats pretty high and rare.
Your testosterone levels do not determine your hairloss
You are not balding since you are 13 and i doubt you are balding even now.Wow. My T level is about 317 ng/dl, and I would say I am healthy, besides balding severly at 17, since I am 13.
I am. Thinning started on top of my head when I was 13. And my hairline started to recede a bit since a year. For 2 years I am suffering from diffuse thinning and now my crown/vertex is heavily decimated. You are not balding since you are 13 and i doubt you are balding even now.
Dont look at your testosterone levels when you are still in puberty.
My doctor said it was 14400ng/dl is what i'd consider the bare acceptable minimum. 500ng/dl -> 800 ng/dl is good and healthy. if you are above 800 ng/dl thats pretty high and rare.

It is Teen androgenetic alopecia. And yes, it can happen as young as your age.I am. Thinning started on top of my head when I was 13. And my hairline started to recede a bit since a year. For 2 years I am suffering from diffuse thinning and now my crown/vertex is heavily decimated.
I can send you pictures, if you don't believe.
How old are you now ? And what is your treatment ?I am. Thinning started on top of my head when I was 13. And my hairline started to recede a bit since a year. For 2 years I am suffering from diffuse thinning and now my crown/vertex is heavily decimated.

17yo. Finasteride. Desperatly hoping for a cure lolHow old are you now ? And what is your treatment ?
you are to young for finasteride. Are you using orally ? since when ?17yo. Finasteride. Desperatly hoping for a cure lol
Yes, I am using orally and I am doing fine. For a month.you are to young for finasteride. Are you using orally ? since when ?
You should use ketoconazole shampoo ( leave it for 10 to 20 minutes before wash it ) and a lotion with minoxdil plus tretinoin .
But fine for someone in his 20s, 30,etc , is not the same " fine " for you, cause your whole body is in development , you really should stop finasteride. Finasteride, for example, increase Estrogen. That in a person that is in development, specially if you are a male, can stop the height growth, cause levels of estrogens because they weld the epiphyses. that is why in general, women are shorter than males . Cause they have higher estrogen levels so it close before and stop the height growth .Yes, I am using orally and I am doing fine. For a month.
I am very well aware of what I use, and all is under a supervision of a doctor. I am not self-medicating, if you mean that. But fine for someone in his 20s, 30,etc , is not the same " fine " for you, cause your whole body is in development , you really should stop finasteride. Actually, it is more than 20 % and there is also problem with Progesterone, the natural " finasteride " of the body, etc.I am very well aware of what I use, and all is under a supervision of a doctor. I am not self-medicating, if you mean that.
I also know that it increases T and E about 5-10%+ because T conversion to DHT is supressed and thus aromatization to E, of the excessive T, increased.
I thank you for your warning.
Btw.: I have the #PeterPanSyndrome ... anything "bad" for someone else, would be highly appreciated by me!
why is 18 too soon?Actually, it is more than 20 % and there is also problem with Progesterone, the natural " finasteride " of the body, etc.
. It is at to you, you are risking more than what you can get . There are many drugs proved to work less danger, simple do you research on pubmed .
Think that when you inhibit DHT, you are not just inhibiting DHT, you are inhibiting an enzyme that is part of many other reactions ( → = 5-alpha-reductase ) :
- Cholestenone → 5α-Cholestanone
- Progesterone → 5α-Dihydroprogesterone
- 3α-Dihydroprogesterone → Allopregnanolone
- 3β-Dihydroprogesterone → Isopregnanolone
- Deoxycorticosterone → 5α-Dihydrodeoxycorticosterone
- Corticosterone → 5α-Dihydrocorticosterone
- Cortisol → 5α-Dihydrocortisol
- Aldosterone → 5α-Dihydroaldosterone
- Androstenedione → 5α-Androstanedione
- Testosterone → 5α-Dihydrotestosterone
And this is not something that " who care later in life, I want hair now " . Since you are in development it can f*** you everything, from your brain to your height or your penis and you will see the effects on the coming years . There is a reason on why FDA approved only for people older than 18th . And even 18th is too soon .
And about your doctors, there are can be good or bad, like any other profession . In fact, your doctor probably know very little about Finasteride and all the reaction of the 5-alpha-reductase or the relation with progesterone, etc. It is not something that they teach you in the University . You need to read tons of papers and very specific pharmacology of physiology books to know it.
Most probable know very little about hair loss treatment and they just prescribed whatever the laboratory that visit them tell them to prescribe. Or who do you think that most doctors pay for the medical congress ? " medical visitor " is even a career in many, many countries.
Because your body is still in development till 19th, some even till 20.why is 18 too soon?
