finasteride and still recovering. You have any good links to info on cyproterone for male baldness specifically ? I'd enjoy the read after losing a norwood and half and 70% density in 7 months. I need something aggressive and I know I can't take finasteride even at .025mg so I want to try a different pathway and battle the sides with other drugs or dose adjustments.
No studies unfortunately. Just anecdotes from here, hairlosshelp and eunuch. In my opinion if you got bad sides from finasteride then you will likely have catastrophic ones from cyproterone, its literally the chemical castration drug. T and DHT will cease to be completely. You can try it anyway if you like but I'd recommend topical darolutamide. Idealforehead seemed to get really good results from it with minimal, if any side effects.

Are you doing anything to battle fibroses and calcification ? If the hairs aren't at least growing back weaker I would be dermarolling, using massage and other things to try to keep those follicles from disappearing completely in the meantime.
I don't have calcification or fiberosis . I used to dermaroll but I was worried about scarring and potentially damaging the follicles so I stopped. I also pulled out hairs doing it too so that was discouraging. I should probably do massages though, that's a good idea.

I actually already have lol. The estrogens I'm using are pro hair and do not cause scalp hair loss. I'm hoping for a miracle turn around and my hair will start growing again.. Maybe its just wishful thinking though.. What sucks is the hairs I've been shedding for almost half a year now are thick and do not grow back like they are supposed to. Not even growing back thinner.. Just falling out and ceasing to exist completely. I feel like a hair loss enigma and anybody else doing what I'm doing would probably be NW0 juveline hairline territory. *sigh*
Well i see it like this; you are a young healthy male with early stage male pattern baldness if you start messing with estrogen at your age you may seriously damage your natural hormonal balance. I also think that your body will react negatively to unexpected amount of estrogen in your system by producing more testosterone to get a balance. The human brain does not finish maturing until the age of 25 so unexpected amounts of estrogen may also cause long term harm to your brain development. If i were you i would just stick to the big 3 and give it a year.

I already was technically on the big 3 for year and it didn't help at all, I kept on balding. I didn't start out on this crazy regimen, I built up to it because nothing else was working. I'm aware of the risks associated with what I'm doing and I think the potential rewards outweigh the risks. I wish I could get results with regular treatments but its just impossible for me. If I can't stop this I don't see myself living much longer. To you that may be silly, but I have significant social and mental health issues already and going bald in my early 20s would be the smoking gun ( quite literally )
I'm just going to continue with my regimen and pray to god this eventually works out. I do appreciate your concerns murkey thumb but I'd much rather have my mental wellbeing looked after right now rather than the physical health aspects of it.

I don't have calcification or fiberosis .

Not to keep bugging you but if hair is falling out and not regrowing how do you know ? Isn't calcification the method by which the follicle disappears ? If there's no hair coming out of it how do you know its still there?

For massage, I hated doing it myself. Feels ridiculous and ineffective and makes my arms tired. I got a hand held electric massager and 3 minutes of use with that thing massages the f*** out of my entire scalp. Can't say what it's doing but having yet to find a successful treatment I don't want my follicles to disappear :(

Because previously my hair would grow, fall out and grow back thinner like clockwork. It was when I started minoxidil that my shed hairs stopped growing back. Infact, I've lost more hair 9 months on minoxidil that I ever did on finasteride. I really want to drop it, so I'm weening off it.

Dear god I hope this isn't happening to me.

Are the hairs you're shedding not growing back? Have you seen any benefit from minoxidil? If not minoxidil may be doing more harm than good for us. Suddenly stopping could cause an even worse shed so I'm playing it safe and weening off, or at least decreasing my dosage enough that my shed stops.. I hope.

Minoxidil 5% never worked for me when i was younger, it was only when i started on the 15% stuff that i got results. Lost a lot of the crown area on 5%.

I used Dr Lees 15% minoxidil with acetic acid + derma rolled 0.5mm. Got heart palpitations for a week and a couple of head aches but no real shed got a huge regrowth after 3 months, after 6 months id regained most of my hair. I was doing 4 weeks on 15%, 4 weeks with 10% minoxidil. Smelt very chemical. They don't make it anymore because the FDA shut him down. Nearest thing would be something like Minoxidilmax 15%.

Unfortunately I got bad sides from finasteride so i cant take it for long periods and soon ended back up at square one.

minoxidil gains last for the supposed 2 years atleast ? I can't take finasteride either and am worried that RU will end up being too weak. Were you derma rolling ed for absorption or just the once a week ?

I was doing it everyday for absorption. Minoxidilmax Dualgen 15% is what you should google although i don't know what has happened to their website, its still available on ebay. There is minoxidil plus website which sells 15 +10% in the US but i have never used it so cant vouch for it.

When you say you're still balding when on your current treatments... on what premise do you come to this conclusion ? You have insane density. And with a large amount of hair comes a large amount of natural healthy amounts of shedding. 150 wouldn't be uncommon per day, so you cant use shedding as a reliable indicator.

What do your first set of pictures compared to those ones, and recent ones look like ?
