Here are two pics I just snapped while waiting for the Keto to dry, so my hair here is wet.

You can see all of the short, thin hairs all along the hairline which have been killed by the diffuse hair loss on the front. These have just turned terminal again, but have not yet reached their full thickness.

When all of those hairs regain their thickness the front will be as full as it once was. The hairs are awakening all the way in a NW1 pattern, so I believe it is only a matter of time, and patience.

E2 really is like rocket fuel for hair.

My hormone profile should come in this week, after the Doctor had tested it again because he couldn't believe how low my e2 is.
I'll try to get a prescription. Anyone else using alpicort f?

dude, your hair quality is f*****g awesome. very think.

I am confused though man!! why are you not contributing this to finasteride / minoxidil and more to topical estradiol? After reading through this entire thread, my personal opinion would be that finasteride worked well and minoxidil is keeping the hair healthy and growing. no??

Does Minoxidil work for diffusual alopecia?

I have lost many hairs due to alcohol and infection on my head. It was about 1 year ago (summer 2015). Now I am cured. I've visited dermatologist and she said I have no minituarized follicles.

Since 2015 I haven't loosing hair due to normal diet and no alcohol.

So have I just lost my follicles for ever? Can I regrow some hair with Minoxidil or it only works for Androgenic Alopecia (Androgenetic Alopecia) with minituarized follicles? Could follicles die for ever?

Sorry for my English.

I just lost and lost hair on Finasteride, the whole time. I can't really attribute anything positive to it. It also gave me puffy nipples which I am now stuck with.

The reason I added Minoxidil is because after 6 months of Finasteride, my hair had gotten SO crappy that I just couldn't walk around looking like that anymore and waiting for Finasteride to start working (which is a day that never came).

Then I got gains with Minoxidil, and plenty. So, it is definitely part of this success story, I don't deny that. But the fact is once minoxidil results peaked they started going away because I was still losing hair. It just gave a temporary boost.

The real reason that I am attributing most of my success to estradiol is that because with it, I am not only maintaining, but I also gained back all that I lost in the past 6 months, and from the looks of it I am going all the way back to NW1, slowly but surely. That never would have happened had I stayed on Propecia. minoxidil or no minoxidil, I would've been bald as f*** by now, because it just flat out didn't work (you know that feel).

It can work. I have both diffuse and receding male pattern baldness and it helped in all those areas.

Ok. Should I use finasteride with it? I didn't lose hair cause Androgenetic Alopecia, just cause bad health (alcohol and other bad stuff). I'm 25 year old.

Well in that case probably not. Have you been to a dermatologist or trichologist to confirm you don't have androgenic alopecia? If you don't have it, there is no point to use Finasteride.

Yes I have been at trichologist and she said I have no miniaturized follicules (which is one of the main sign of Androgenetic Alopecia).

Whatevr, what is Alpricot F. Is that like finasteride without sides?

For me, yes. It depends on dose. If used only 3x weekly it is enough for results with minimal side effects.

Maybe, it's hard to be sure. If your estrogen is already high on Propecia, it could be a problem.

Yes, I apply it everywhere because I am using it instead of an anti-androgen so I put it all over my head to prevent hair loss and regrow everywhere.

It's a topical lotion containing estradiol and corticosteroids. Estradiol has some anti-androgenic properties by itself, but it also stimulates growth factors which no anti-androgen can do. There is a potential chance for side effects, depending on the amount used and how high your estrogen is naturally.

i also really want to add minoxidil to my crown , as a preventive measure and to thicken my hair , but i am afraid that it could worsen my loss , do you think it could help me .
I will add alpicort to my temple and minoxidil crown ?

given the fact i had a similar experience as you with propecia , which didnt do anything for my hairline.
And like you i have waited almost 16 month before adding minoxidil , because of the standard " wait for propecia to work".

I haven't ordered from that website, I get it from the local pharmacy with a prescription.
Some other guys here have tried ordering on that website but it takes a long time to get approved for some reason.

I think if Minoxidil works for you on other parts then it should help the crown as well.

Yes, a lot of people get screwed waiting for Propecia to work. For some it never does, sadly.
