As I said earlier man made technology is a completely different feild to bio/medical science. Tinkering with electronic components is far easier than altering nature.
Very wise statement. Very true. It's the biological natures that get us every time. Throughout various generations. Polio. The Black Plague. Now HIV. And cancer.

So yeah, you're right.

Does funding and politics play a strong contributing role? (although I know the true complexity of nature plays a huge part)
