@threadkilla , hair loss is emotionally devastating - I know - I've had a failed transplant.

However, bro....with respect.....you seem to have issues greater than hair loss. I think you are suffering from depression (I've had it myself, so not saying it in a negative way). Your self-esteem seems very low too. You need to work on those things first, cos even a full head of hair won't guarantee you lots of friends and dates if you don't have self-belief, self-confidence and exude positivity. I've been in your situation where I spent years in loneliness and isolation cos I didn't have close friends or a romantic partner - and yet, I had incredible looking hair at the time.
Now, I have a fraction of the hair, but I have a great social life. I say this, not to boast, but to highlight that Yes, we all want to have a full head of hair, but hair alone is not the be-all-end-all in life. Lots of guys are totally bold in their 30's or even in their 20's and they pull women cos they have 'game'.
I would recommend you look into NLP and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy - both of these came to my rescue when I was down and nearly out.

Good luck.

What a load of bluepilled bullshit. You know damn well that for many men hair loss is the root cause for low self esteem.

You say you have a fraction of hair but a great social life... but what is your DATING life? I'm going to bet it's terrible.

"Game" these days is all about looks. Women hate pick up artist tricks so they aren't going to fall for it anymore.

Here's a tip....breathe in slowly....then.....breathe out slowly..... do this till your anger dissipates.
You're projecting. You're bitter. You're lashing out. And no, my dating life isn't terrible - I have a great long-term partner. Look around the men you know - many of them are probably losing hair, but have active social lives. And good romantic lives. Your failure to accept that it's possible to have a good life in spite of losing hair is what's causing you this frustration.

""Game" these days is all about looks. Women hate pick up artist tricks so they aren't going to fall for it anymore."
This reveals that you have no idea of what game is, nor of what women want.

A lot of guys, like me, had facial looks and would go from attractive to ugly due to balding.

I consider balding a very unfair agent of aging. At least a cure would level the playing field a lot more. A cure wouldn't help men with hair at all but it would be tremendous help to us. I read all the time women complaining about dating past 25 you encounter too many bald men.
I don't disagree with that. Mine wasn't necessary that early at 20 compared to some guys and probably my face wouldn't out-do a bald head but maybe if someone has the perfect head shape too. Ed Harris wasn't too shabby with the ladies but admittedly, he's like the main star I can think of who was bald and still attractive in a masculine way and a top billing star like in the Right Stuff and the Abyss but he doesn't look so great anymore. Duval and Hackman only get supporting roles for the most part.

I was talking to Marky about the concept of just falling off a cliff looks-wise and he sent me a pic of Dave Somebody who competed in the decathlon and crashed and burned in '92 or '88, and the dude was blond and gorgeous and huge up to like 45 and then by 50, he was completely used up and I am not saying I look like him but something very similar happened to me and only HRT could have saved me and it did. I still look way better without my wig now that I did before HRT. I would rather have people come on to me then have to go search them out but I am pretty moral as a Catholic. It's more being seen as potentially wanted than to snatch up the females. They always did me if they wanted sex, lol.

Try microneedling. It saved me from a largely failed transplant and essentially healed the scarring and the grafts started producing either again, since it had been 25 years so no the hair from the sides and back doesn't last forever--or ones that only had a couple of hairs coming out and especially the cobblestone scarring improved to the point where I can't see any of the doll-look in the front or really tell. It killed me to waste good tissue and then move it somewhere else to look crappy. Psychologically, I felt and feel so much better emotionally now. My doctor had a transplant and it looked like hell. I should been running for the door screaming "back, back. Stay back.

This is an interesting debate & I think everyone is good intentioned. Olivio Rodrigo was recently at WH. Her hair is natural, thick, growing at 100 times many of us. Look at her hair even compared to Kamala.. And she does NOTHING to make it grow. Extensions? But point is the hair shaft can grow similar to this if the delongating factors aren’t poisoning the natural growth. My only point is there’s something to learn here.

Firstly, excellent choice on not trying Finasteride due to the side effects as they are very real. Congratulations to you on that. People also report lots of sides and further worsened hair with Finasteride and Dutasteride.

There's a lot on the way in terms of treatment or a cure. Check out this website for a list:

My personal favorites are from the company Kintor Pharmaceuticals (Pyrilutamide and GT20029) and the other is Gene Editing Therapy using CRISPR.

Pyrilutamide is expected to be released in 2023.

If you don't know what CRISPR is, I strongly advise you watch the short Netflix Docu-series called "Unnatural Selection". It's about CRISPR and done by a guy with a PhD who worked at NASA.

Just watching the first episode would be enough to blow your mind if you don't know about this stuff.

CRISPR technology for Gene Editing has already been used in humans unlike many of the upcoming treatments in the pipeline.

Then there's Tsuji and Stemson, which are the 2 other big names expected to bring the cure hopefully by around 2027 to 2030 for Stemson and a bit earlier for Tsuji, although they are expected to be really expensive at 1st once they release, so better options are treatments like Kintors 2 treatments and Gene Editing Therapy using CRISPR.

Some people are big fans of mRNA as a potential cure for Male Patterned Balding but not sure of a timeline on it.

That all sounds amazing and possibly too good to be true?

When you say expensive how much?

I reckon I would pay up to 10k with some sort of payment plan...but for that money i would want 100% success rate with a full head of hair

Because it is too good to be true. Most of these companies will fail. We've seen this happen for the last 2 decades. It's delays, failures, more delays, bankruptcy. Maybe one of these will succeed in the next 10 years but it likely will be kintor but it will come with similar side effects as finasteride.
