lol @ people in this thread thinking Arabs are 'non-white' or 'ethnic'. Look up Caucasian on Wikipedia and it'll give you a basic lesson on Human Geography. You'll see that Arabs fall under the Semitic subtype of the Caucasoid race. They're 'white' too.

The Caucasian race is actually really broad includes a lot of ethnicities you wouldn't expect if you haven't taken a Human Geography course in HS or university. There really are only 3 major actual 'races': Caucasoid, Negroid and Mongoloid.

People tend to confuse ethnicity with race, while specific ethnicities see distinction in medicine (such as Mediterranean people and the presence of beta-thalassaemia, which I am actually a carrier of this gene and hence have the minor phenotype) there really isn't much distinction in terms of appearance when you think about it. Major differences are only present across the 3 major races.

I think what confuses people is skin colour, which shouldn't be a metric at all. I have a very good ability to tan (skin type 4 on most dermatological scales) and I can go from having my normal olive skin (that of your average Italian, this is usually if I'm in a place that doesn't get much sunlight for an extended period of time) to having a darker complexion (that of your average Tunisian, this occurs if I am in a place that tends to have a higher UV index for an extended period of time). I didn't change 'races' I only tanned.

Well said! One of my relatives' wife is Lebanese and everyone just assumes she's Italian too just like her husband when they first meet her. Gotta love the fact that we can be in the dead of winter and still have that healthy glow going on!

I certainly agree, Mia Khalifa is attractive but she's only slightly above average when compared to the Lebanese models, they're really hot!

It's interesting eh, a few months ago in the dead of winter here in Australia I had someone (of Anglo-Saxon descent I presume as they had freckles, light hair, were pasty, etc.) comment on how nice my olive skin is, it seemed so strange because whenever I'm not fully tan I forget that I have a 'glow' at all haha! I definitely agree and am grateful for it.

Very good point by the way, if Mia Khalifa had clothes on and was walking around a mall in Dubai most people wouldn't look twice at her.
