Are we the only ones that are balding ? Or only ones that cares ? Why are we only bunch of people discussing it ? Why is this **** still not been cured ? Goverments,companies planinng to go space, go mars and make new lives but how will this happen if young people's mind stucked at balding?

With every new generation balding comes stronger. You couldn't see young balding people 50-100 years ago this much. Balding was considered normal when you turn your 60's - 70's but now people balding at age 16 what the hell?

This young people should focus their minds to their education,their future,their hobbies not their hair.They don't even want to go outside,socialize or to go their schools.Sitting all day with the fear of balding in their hearts with all the depression,all the despair,hiding somewhere. Even some thinks suicide. This people is our future,this people will make human race go further. They cannot do that while their minds stucked. They waste their years of youth which is incomparable.

All those years,millennium we only invented finasteride ? Nobody wants to take a hormone altering drug.But we have no other choice. It doesn't work for everyone,some get sides even tho you don't get sides how long can you take this drug ? 20-30 years? What will happen afterwards? What's the price of taking serious hormone altering drug for 20-30 years? They don't even know.Some people here even go harder with their regimen.They literally killing their hormones,liver or other internal organs with finasteride,dutasteride,cyproterone and other serious drugs that i don't know.

We don't even know what causes baldness.Some say dht,some say your scalp size,some say fibrosis,blood circulation. Just put your efforts to cure this **** once and for all.Im sick and tired of thinking this **** all day and rest of my life.

Anyone know if all the sugar and processed food we eat is causing us to start loosing hair at a younger age ?

People live their whole normal lives without any 5 ar 2 enzyme. That is what the drug was base off to begin with. So we do know what happens, and people today have been taking it for 20 years already. So if you dont have issues its fine.
The only question is what happens when you inhibit the 5 ar 3 enzyme? No one ever intended to even inhibit that, but we didnt know it existed back then. We dont have a model for that.

from a subjective standpoint i'm asking, in 13 years i don't think i'm going to look back cause i would have lost all of it and not give a f*** about it anymore, it's the last strains of hair that keeps me hanging personally

i think he was on seti for over a year he spent the equivalent of a hair transplant to get those results and will be spending even more to maintain. still a great alternative for those not able to afford a donor-wise transplant

I think it might be worth it. It’s not quite as expensive as a hair transplant. For those that have depleted donor hair it could be a worthwhile investment.

Yea, it's truely insane. Some people go bald and barely care. I was a musician before going bald. It's remarkable how much it's shattered my life. I went from standing confidently on stage in front of hundreds of people, to not being able to go in public without having a continuous panic attack.

And it's an issue that no one except us cares about. They are perfectly content to watch us rot.

Unfortunately, unlike what one might think after spending some time on this forum, premature hair loss is rare, that's the reason why we still have finasteride

It sucks surely, but what makes male pattern baldness interesting is its so hard to define what it really means. Is it largely just mentally accepting it yourself? How much does it really change others view of you? Do people even consciously think about or notice it or are its effects more subtle or tied to stereotypes or life experiences?
Personally I think male pattern baldness biggest downside is that baldness is a sign of looking old, and maybe being unhealthy. Look at animals like a cat when it gets sick and starts to die. They lose their shiny coats of fur. Are people the same?

It maybe that I’m not anywhere near where people would consider me bald, but I do think people on the forum have a warped view on how much hair matters. Sure you won’t be bagging a girl from the club every weekend or be some tinder star but getting a girlfriend is very attainable and I know plenty of bald guys who are very average looking otherwise and do pretty well.

Teens and early 20s are probably a bit harder but even that age I know a couple guys who do quite well

Sorry...but posting and whining on the internet( and the invention of he internet in general) isnt going to cure baldness. It sucks I know but it's a natural part of aging for many of us. I shudder to think how many here will deal with a true debilitating physical disease or mental disease as they age. Where are the forums of people crying out for a cure for arthritis on the scale of balding sites, for example??? Nothing has been cured yet, I don't expect balding to be cured anytime soon.

Not that rare nowadays, I know many people around my age(20) who are balding, all to varying degrees though

Rare? I read over 600 000 people do a hairtransplant every year. And thats about what, 1 to 2 percent of balding people that do a surgeon?
