Not that rare nowadays, I know many people around my age(20) who are balding, all to varying degrees though
Depends on where you live, I guess. I barely know any peer who is balding. That 'nowadays' , though, do you also believe people are going bald earlier than in the past? I made a thread on this because I have the same impression

Hokkaido balding strong, much unlike the rest of Japan, must be the influx of Siberian gene material, interesting. Even though I did not really perceive it as such when I was there.

This made me sadder.Although i believe 99% of men(all around the world) go through some degree of male pattern baldness in their lives, some countries rarely develop baldness.

On the other hand, with our luck, some of us here balding agressively at age 22, we would be the only bald Thai far and wide...sucks even more.

Also it looks like f*****g Cesar spread his shitty baldy genes through the empire.

That is my impression at least... I asked my dad and he said balding early was barely even a thing back then around 20 years ago but now he has seen quite a few young adults going bald early including me, it could be because of geographical difference though...

I’m interested in finding a more satisfactory answer to this question too, but it will be very hard to attain. I suspect the internet has just made people more aware of fellow baldies. However if androgenetic alopecia is increasing in incidence, it would be interesting to know if this is due to environmental factors, more concentrated genetics, or elements of both. Persisting belief in masturbation as a cause of hair loss is built around the idea male pattern hair loss is becoming more common; i.e. people wank more now due to the availability of pornography thus we see more men with hair loss. I would like to be able to dispel this more comprehensively.

P.S. Wrong section.

No need to be so disappointed .A modular wig and a good adhesive are coming in the market soon .then men with natural hair would envy us.

My father and his brother still NW1 with thick full head of hair and both my grandfathers had full head of hair with diffuse thinning despite their ages. But my maternal uncles are NW6 and all of them started to balding after their late 30s.They started to balding from crown area and they had their frontal in their 40s.While im 22 and im diffuse thinning horseshoe pattern. So my point is something is really making us bald so much earlier for sure.

I can only tell from my experience that my balding started almost a year ago and i had very poor diet with fast foods and i barely go out and take vitamin D. I don't know if this means something to you, you guys may not believe this kinda things but im just sharing my history and something accelerated my baldness like 10-15 years earlier.

Yea, it's truely insane. Some people go bald and barely care. I was a musician before going bald. It's remarkable how much it's shattered my life. I went from standing confidently on stage in front of hundreds of people, to not being able to go in public without having a continuous panic attack.

And it's an issue that no one except us cares about. They are perfectly content to watch us rot.

It's sad how balding men are kind of the last permissible targets for ridicule. People will say "oh balding's not a big deal" and then out of the other corner of their mouth they're just shitting on you for it. Then, presumably because both corners of the mouth are occupado, out of their *** they say "I don't think it's right to pick on someone for something they can't control".

I think there's a kind of inverse halo effect for balding men that results in hypocrisy and minimizing. Like I've known so many people act like there's a cure (sometimes cures) for baldness, say maybe a transplant or something. But they know full well a transplant often doesn't work, or some people can't get them, or aren't viable candidates etc. They just have a desire to minimize the problem.

Nobody will ever know the pain of balding unless they go through it themselves.

That’s pretty much the foundation of modern identity politics: “You’ll never understand the experience of a black person, whitey, so don’t even try. We’re oppressed by you because we say so, now get on your knees and grovel.”

Except the evidence of people being picked on for balding is everywhere. That's socially acceptable in today's world. Being racist is not socially acceptable in today's world.

Being racist is not socially acceptable in today's world.

Most people are still “racist” (i.e. show racial self interest and preference) though, they’ve just been brow beaten into hiding it publicly (if you’re white). So following that logic people would just resent baldies privately and you’d all still be paranoid about it, so nothing would really be achieved.

Yet, somehow, the country isn't quite as racist as it was 50 or 100 years ago.

There is such a thing as progress.

I’m not sure browbeating white people into self hatred can be classed as progress, it’s left us prone to Islam and other Third World horrors. Racial self interest and preference is normal and natural and has nothing to do with hatred of others. We need to start talking about how Arabs, south-west Asians, Africans, etc. already have continents and countries which represent them - and they are not changing. Once Europeans lose theirs then they have nowhere to go, unlike the people we allow en masse into Europe.
