Claims he has the answer for something as complex as the efficacy of finasteride against male pattern baldness....

Comes with fallacies and bro science.

No offense, but I'm only posting about peer-reviewed published science...

I'm always an advocate for MORE research, but there have certainly been studies on why finasteride and minoxidil work for some people and not for others.

It is truly incredible that there exists some subtle genetic difference that affects those compounds dramatically. But then, look at foods. One peanut can kill a person allergic to it, while I can eat them by the pound. Looking forward to your contribution to this jigsaw puzzle moxom!

We dont know this for sure its just in theory. Further research is needed to know more.
Yeah man i completely and fully agree with you. I like when people talk with logic and that's what you did. I just didn't like the idea of over-praising Finasteride like i feel some people worship it as it was the holy water or something because it's not that effective as you said. It can work tho, but it's impossible to work all that time. What i meant in my post that no treatment can make you keep your hair for 10 or 15 years if you have male pattern baldness aggressive or not, but i've seen people here who have been using it for that long. My theory that those people never had hair loss in the first place and that's why they had amazing results because actually the drug hadn't done anything at all for them because they were never going bald, but BDD and paranoia can play tricks with you and your mind. And for people with male pattern baldness then Finasteride will not make you keep your hair that long, but if it works then 2 or 3 years at most is far better than nothing actually. Considering the price of the drug and the side effects it really doesn't worth that much hype, but we really isn't in a position to make a choice.

Are you making this stuff up? There are 10 years studies PROVING men keep their baseline hair counts. Its not a myth it definitely works. The sample was 120 which is small, but some men had better hair counts only after being on finasteride for 5 years.
We know it doesnt work for everyone

Unfortunately, I can't find minoxidil study about long terms efficiency
..it's wierd because have people using many years and not even a neither study....

Pretty encouraging to read that after the 1st years results that's a great indicator in how efficient it'll be in in the future. I've improved dramatically, so I hope that's good signs for the next 10 years.

Bummer indeed. Have you heard of imputation? Not perfect by any means, but better than nothing.

Yes, and according to my imputed VCF file from DNA.Land, I'm most likely to be CT at rs9282861 (or equivalently, GA):
