And the immigration issue aside, look at the economy. Europe is stagnating. Atleast the US has some decent economic growth. Europe is also becoming less important and getting weaker on a world stage. Aging population getting replaced by different people.

To be fair, I would say the US is in better shape than europe especially looking at economic factors.

we just need to get our manufacturing back. The issue is were heading the way of Rome. Most countries are. We longer really export anything. Almost everything we consume comes from abroad, even our own merchandise. Its one thing I like about Trump, hes been screaming about this forever. This "pandemic" also proved the point when we couldnt get basic things anymore. Or like when China tried to hold our own medicine hostage. Trump signed an exec order telling the Px companies they now have to manufacture enough medicine here to get our gov grants.

Yeah, the country has been heading down. Issue is 10-15 years would be the start/kick in of our trade deals with other countries and manufacturing leaving. It would also be due to our loosening immigration practices. its such a convoluted mess there. Were usually getting sucked into situations we shouldnt, which is another thing Trump is always talking about. At least he TRIED to get the troops out. As someone who lives in one of these major American cities, I can tell you that painting a broad brush for this country is impossible.

There are just too many different types of people, cultures, everything. You have both the smartest and the dumbest people in the world here. It's your choice which group you will associate with.

Overall, if you are competent to work, you can make a great living and obtain things that are not obtainable in other countries. Home ownership, educational and professional opportunities, etc.

It is a country ideal for working and amassing wealth, if you are capable to take advantage of that.

The other flaws, in terms of politics, social problems etc, are major, but again, if your goal is just to put your head down and earn money and ignore that, then it's not so bad. Certainly the freedom to just pack your bags and go to any other state, start "fresh" so to speak, is very appealing.

I would rather live in Europe but unfortunately the wages just make it difficult. So much is given back tax wise, properties are already very expensive in major cities, more so than in the US. Also, fully integrating into a foreign society seems very difficult in Europe, but where I live foreigners are very welcome and it is very easy to meet people of different cultures and backgrounds (hint, I live in a very blue state region).

It's always a competition about who is the tallest, the most athletic, the most handsome, who has the highest IQ, who has the highest SAT score, who is the whitest (Americans even have a word for it, WASP), who is in the best college, who is the wealthiest, who has the best jawline. Everything is a competition in places where the population density is way too high and basic consumer goods are way too cheap.

It promotes people to ride on the basics, create more kids which further overpopulates the country increasing resource scarcity and thus increasing resource competition.

And NO, communism or socialism cannot and will not fix that, the U.S population is far too massive for that. You'd need a good die off of at least 2/3 of the population for UBI to work, and even then you'd need an extremely robust economy and tightly limited immigration.
