Nope nope nope! I think minoxidil and propecia are amazing. Ive had great results with both. I would never replace then for something unproven, never. Im just interested in adding to a core regimen.

Heres my regimen if your curious:

Propecia 1mg (for 4 years)
Minoxidil 5% twice a day (for 1.5 years)
Nizoral 1% (for 2 years)
spironolactone 2% (1 year) to be replaced by Fluridil next week.
Eil Crannel Alpha (6 months)
Folligen (2 years)

Vitamins:

Multi-vit
Arginine 1000mg
Green Tea Extract 350mg
MSM (4000mg)

Other Shampoos:
A.C tea tree shampoo and conditioner
Biotin shampoo
Pure emu oil (5 drops) added to shampoo
Green Tea Conditioner
A.C Revitalize conditioner

I agree with the boo to FNS and I dont believe in herbal stuff. :moon:

One guy posted on HLH that he was quitting the "Oz Brew", yet another experimental treatment, because an hour or two after using it, he literally blacked out while walking through a parking lot. Without sufficient data that surrounds a proven treatment, you just don't know what's in it, and how safe it is.

I'm still bemused as to what in the blue hell "Oz Brew" is, lol

And after a week or more off oral finasteride, i do feel more, how do you say...HORNY BABY! And no, it's not my warped mind that's confusing me!

I think spironolactone is okay, but its half-life isnt long at all. Which is why I want to try Flurudil, i think i need s strong topical anti-androgen in my regimen, i think it will make a lot of diffirence.

Yep, i read it the half life was around 100-150mins, but presumably it's effects should last well beyond this, depending on how long it takes the ardrogen recpetors in the scalp to up regulate...

How much per month is the Fluridil setting you back? And the Ell Crannel?

Fluridil (which is in the post and i should be starting next week) cost me about £90 for a 3 months supply. Eil Crannel was about £50 for 2 160ml bottles.

Eil Crannel was about £50 for 2 160ml bottles.

So at 1ml/d this is 320 days supply, and you say in HairLossTalk.com's post that it has been effective on your hairline...can you be certain it is the EC?

Seems cheap at 1ml/d...

I think its the Eil Crannel because its the only thing ive added in awhile. I have this very thin patch at the right side of my hairline. Its the only really thin patch I have on my head. Its the first place I started losing hair when I was about 24. I use this patch as a barometer to how well my hairloss battles is going. Recently its really been filling in and I think Eil has helped with this, but I cant be totally sure.

I did get a bit lazy eith my regimen earlier this year for a few months, skipping minoxidil applications and my hair suffered a bit. Ive been making much more of an effort over the last 4 months to not be lazy with things. So maybe its just using minoxidil more and its just taken its time to help with my hairline or Eil Crannel has benefits. But I wont recommend Eil Crannel as its not proven, spironolactone is more proven. But its weaker compared to Eil Crannel IMO.

Thanks zim, i also have a "patch" on the right side of my hairline which is my obvious weakspot. minoxidil has really helped fill it in, i'm adding spironolactone 2% soon to see if that helps.

I seem to be having a minor shed at the moment, and clearly the problem areas (my right temple/side of hairline) are affected by the shedding much more, or atleast to the neaked eye.

I'm interested to see on how you fellaz progress on these new treatments, and i wish you the best of luck compadre'!

This nice mature topic? Oh sorry are we supposed to never discuss anything new ever? Yes lets not evolve ever, lets stick our heads in the sand and not even consider for a millisecond that any new item ever released may potentailly help hairloss. Such a terriblle attitude to look to the future. What was I thinking?

Whats with your attitude Cassin bad hair day? Lighten up.

Feel free HairLossTalk.com to put his thread into the Experimental section anytime, if its out of place here.
