I stated nothing bro I just copied and pasted the article for our young friend. I wasn't originally going to paste that here since it didn't completely answer his question, but it did have a couple mentions on how it effects the prostate during puberty.
There are other articles addressing his question more directly but I can't seem to finds them at the moment.

personally I couldn't use Avodart since I've already experienced some serious side effects on finasteride. If I took Avodart they'd probably be much worse.
