The thing is that with hair loss there is no healing. That joke was hurtful because hair loss means that the GI Jane haircut is the only one available to you. 5 years with the same haircut and how would you feel? As I always say, the only way to heal from hair loss is to treat the hair loss. The people who come to terms with it usually do it at the very start. If you have been suffering for years and haven't come to terms with it, maybe you never will and treatment is the choice for you.

I think this is the general consensus, until anyone actually sees any signs of actual alopecia areata, its difficult to argue otherwise.

from what I've briefly picked up on she mentioned that she diagnosed with alopecia, and in her own words has shaved her hair short as more of an 'preventative' measure.

But here's the thing, Its unclear whether she is just using the typical narcissist trick, to garner sympathy from self inflicted traction alopecia or whether she does indeed have the real thing.
