Balding in your 30's and past that (although still unpleasant) is something i can understand. if it happens in your teens or early twenties then it's just really cold especially if you look horrendous and absolutely don't suit the look .
the cruelty of this world manifests itself in different ways.

Although I agree with most of what you said, imagine if things would have seemed different for you losing it in your late teens/early 20's.[/quote]

I can't disagree at all!

But here is the thing, and let me clarify...when I said "i started to go bald in my 30s" i meant LEGIT bald! ie, NW5+ full blown.

If I used the definition of "balding" that a lot of the cats here seem (this ghg fellow, for instance) I'd have been balding in my 20's, as well.

Also, I have been on Propecia since I was 18, non stop. And my full blown NW5+ pattern still smacked me in my early 30's.

I was 17 when a friend pointed out towards the end of my high school senior year that I was going bald and thinning in my hairline -- and he was absolutely right.

I am now 34, to answer UncomfortableMan.

Receding hairline's over the age of 30 is a common occurence. sure it would still hurt me but i wouldn't feel like im not normal.

Balding in general is not nearly as bad as some of you make it out to be......

it varies from case to case, some might look acceptable bald and be at peace with it, for some it's completely horrible.

i've come to think that the bald villain stereotype holds some truth. im becoming less and less sympathetic, im watching news about people dying and i don't feel sorry a bit. if anything it amuses me. it wasn't like this before.

What is the premise of most horror movies? The main villian becomes or already is horribly disfigured and is cast out of society for it. Dehumanized, the villain is filled with rage and resentment towards those who brutally rejected him and he lashes back at them (usually teenagers, the epitome of popular culture) for revenge.

Since going bald and noticing the distinct difference in how people treat me because of it, I have become disenchanted with humanity and unconvinced of it's inherent goodness. Their behavior towards me proves otherwise. Pure cruelty.

That's all monsters are anyway, bi-products of our fucked up society coming back to bite it us the ***!!

^ my opinion of people formed as i witnessed others who didn't exactly fit in get persecuted, as well as from my personal experience. i know the worst aspects of human nature too well. therefore despite not being bald (yet) i wouldn't try to dismiss the things you talk about. there are too many humanoids out there with a serious lack of decency hence having an obvious flaw or disfigurment if you will (hair loss in our case), would make one an easy target. and i knew this long before hair started to fall out.

The only way to fight it without screwing yourself is minoxi and nizoral, and in that case you can only delay it, for me it's enough, I mean damm if I can just keep my hair at his corrent form, till at least 24 of age Il be happy, I'm now 20.5

LOL Me, Dudemon and UCman probably said exactly the same thing. Do you really think that at midnight on the stroke of your 24th birthday you're suddenly going to turn into a different person and setttle into your old age with pipe and slippers? :shakehead:

You WILL feel the same at 25,30,35 as you do now. If it bothers you now it will still bother you then. Otherwise you'd just be like the millions of other balding young guys who are'nt obbsessing about.

Hmmm... where did I hear this before? Oh yeah, it was me at 23 saying if I would only make it 'til 25 with some hair on my head. Well I'm 29 now, not a lot of hair left (but still some), and I'm NOT over it, not by a long shot.

I just started my life, I don't want to feel weird amongst my friends, in later times I might be satisfying with life and would accept it better

Being bald becomes EVEN harder as you get older...it just gets lost amongst the other sh** you moan about when you reach middle-age.
