Would You Feel Better If People Acknowledged That Going Bald Is Hard?

There is an immense amount of outrage here about how people with hair dismiss the problem of hair loss.

I would like to know if you would feel better if people acknowledged and attempted to understand that:
  • Losing your hair is a legitimate problem
  • Looks do matter to a large extent, and that is not limited to romance/sex
  • Bald celebrities who are seen as hot are the exception rather than the rule
  • Bald men get stereotyped, and rarely to their benefit

YES. People don't understand how devastating it can be to lose your hair, especially when you are young and supposed to have great thick hair. Not even my therapists took my hair loss seriously. They all said I should just accept it, shave my head, or wear a toupee. They didn't even know about finasteride.

Of course not. I don't care what people think regarding this disease. For me balding is a permanent disfigurement, hence the cause of severe emotional distress and difficulties in daily functioning. I can't be productive doing my work, thinking every minute about my hair, let alone any relationships with people.

I saw a therapist just one hour ago. Can you believe that this is EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME......just one f*****g hour ago!!

I know, right?

Yes, it's very hard for someone whose FACE isn't changing drastically to understand

Keep your inside struggles inside your heart.

Society do not care about your problems.
So why waste time in getting sympathy from others.

[Above pic is symbolic of actual examples bombarded on people expressing their depression for hairloss on Quora and Facebook.]

The reasons most of us don't respect advice like this is that thinking about other epople's worse probles usually does not make you feel any better about yourself.
And most of us here avoid Quora, Buzzfeed and other blue-pill spaces.

I would like to know if you would feel better if people acknowledged and attempted to understand that:

If their “acknowledgment and understanding” entails subsidizing the cost of hair loss treatment, sure. We spend time, money and emotional labor on this problem. It's not dissimilar to the "makeup-tax."

Hair loss impacts our relationships and our paychecks. While both fullheads and baldcels tend to buy shaving cream, and moisturizer, the price of treatment is something fullheads never have to worry about.

Time to call it the "hair loss-tax" and seize the means of dht production brehs

Problem is, they will reply "since you got shaving cream and moisturizer, just use those on your head and shave it bros !"

Ppl understand and feel sorry for losing your legs. Doesnt make it easier im sure..

That's true, and I've often asked myself, "So let's say people feel sorry for you and acknowledge that it's hard to cope with going bald. Where does that get you? Sure, it's better to get sympathy rather than ridicule, but that sympathy doesn't get you your hair back or make someone want to date you."

Said by a guy who is mind fucked by girls of his own school.
Nothing can be worse than this.
By the way,Who are you to judge about my post quality?
Your posts are pointless and barely relate to anything at all, they serve no purpose. Also, you always try to give depressed people shitty advices and indirectly blame them for their sh*t lives and luck.

This is where you are wrong.
People may have different opinions about baldness.
You know there are people who will laugh on your mouth while talking on baldness.

To possess perspective of other people who are not conditioned to baldness related mentality is not a joke.
Your point of view and my point of view is different.

Always assess a condition from people who are affected and also control group who don't even know anything about problems of baldness.

Bullshit...

Suggesting a guy sufferening from hairloss depression to ignore baldness is not a shitty advice.

I always wanted to motivate boys to accept badness and progress in life.

How can this be depressing?

Not Acknowledging other troubles and asking him to deal with baldness is not a wrong thing.

Acknowledging baldness don't solve the problem.
Asking them to ignore and move on is actually the only best thing to fight against low confidence caused by baldness.
