At the end of the day everyone has their faults. If someone mentions my hairloss I would usually mention one of their flaws i.e. ginger, fat, ugly, tall, short, spotty etc and it usually shuts their mouth :hump:

I remember one time I went out to this bar and I wasn't wearing my concealer and this fat girl said that I look like barry from eastenders and I replied and said yeah and you look like Pat from eastenders and she walked away. If people give u sh*t then give them sh*t back :hump:

i have this friend of a friend that who is a complete c**t, he brings up my hairloss at every conceivable moment, he was this loud arrogant twat who just said without a moment of shame or sympathy "baldy, baldy, baldy" and it just pissed me off
anyway one day, not too long ago i went to a chemist to get this hair removal gel (i have been getting hypertrichosis from minoxidil) and i had to go to his house to pick up what my best friend left behind, i asked if i could use his bathroom and he said "ok but try not to shed all your hair in my sink", so i went into the bathroom and got out my hair removal gel and checked and it was the same colour as his hair gel, so i mixed it into his hair gel and washed my hands

a couple of nights later my mates were sleeping over at his house and in the morning one of told me his hair was shedding like mad and his scalp was red :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

i don't care if i did overreact, and i haven't told any of my friends
but i am soo f****ing proud of what i did lol

The first thing that some of my friends would do when I would meet them for dinner after work sometimes is mention that I was losing my hair. And then you have the whole evening in front of you to think about the insensitive comments that your friends just made.

I would just agree with them and say that I am losing it instead of trying to deny it or anything because that would have just made us argue about it and I would have had to think about my hair loss even more. Plus, I knew they were right.

I decided during those times not to comment on a friend's hair loss when I was meeting up with someone because I knew how it felt.

Bald guys are forced to face the public's various misconceptions about baldness like poor nutrition, poor circulation, bad hygene or premature aging. It is none of those things rather just an unfortunate genetic manefestation that should in no way reflect poorly on the individual.

I had a similar experience to the OP. It wasn't fun obviously but it did reinforce the fact that my hairloss is now being noticed publicly. Before I knew it was there but i tried to convince myself that only my hyper-observant eyes knew the gravity of the problem. Well, now the secret's out....and I know it.
