You seem like you have a good sense of humor so that is a plus. So get out more and have fun. Stop caring about what people think and just take some chances. Rejection is just for your own protection.Sure but I have been a depressed beta all my life so I have no idea.
@DoctorHouse Hey man, no problem it's all cool. Lots of good suggestions here. I guess the first order of business is going to be getting my thyroid levels checked and see if that checks out. By chance do you happen to know what DHT levels should be? Or is any DHT bad news? I didnt think mine was overly high, but i dont know, i guess the dermatologist said its high enough for my problems. Also the Derminator looks pretty sweet, so I am gonna try that, and the Zix looks pretty easy to use too. Im gonna stay on the minoxidil, red light therapy, and microrolling until I get the derminator. Im going to do some more research on Duasteride, and maybe consider switching from Propecia, but i gotta wait on that... i stopped the Propecia a few days ago because even though my jizz is starting to look kind of wacky, I kinda think that my gf might be pregnant so i dont want to be messing with those medicines until i know for sure.@Chris2000 sorry we hijacked your thread. What are you going to do for your situation?
Hey yeah, i dont have the full helmet or the cap, but i have a comb with 2 rows of lasers, its a lot more affordable than the helmet. Pretty much every other day i put it on the trouble spots, it has a 15 minutes timer on it, and it makes a sound when its time to move it to a new area on the head.Did you end up trying low level laser therapy? I bought the Theradome LH80. It seemed to have been working but lost effectiveness after about 3 months. The LH80 has 80 lasers but I was considering buying a helmet from another company that has more lasers (some brands have up to 272 lasers). However, I'd like to experiment with RU and maybe microneedling before spending more money on another laser helmet.
Cool man, thanks for all the suggestions. Just looked up the Derminator 2, it looks pretty sweet. Zix looksnoretty good too, and pretty easy to make as well. Do you have any recommendation for anything to apply while doing the derminator? Or just stick with Zix and minoxidil? And also, is oral minoxidil exactly the same as the liquid minoxidil that goes on the head? Thanksdamn, that's rough man especially in only 3 years at your age. you could try oral minoxidil, basically 1 drop of 5% kirkland or w/e 5% brand will be 2.5 mg of minoxidil. seems to be well tolerated by most and it's effective for topical non-responders like you
some also have success with dutasteride vs finasteride. many anecdotally claim fewer sides on dutasteride than on finasteride
microneedling with derminator 2 every 2 weeks, 1-1.2 mm depth 12 needle cartridge
oral castor oil, 2.5-5 mL/day
topical ru58841(dont recommend imo, but it's up to you)
look into zix, it reduces my shedding
Sorry, should have asked you this on the other post... but, were you able to get your leg hair to grow back? I guess id be ok if theyvstayed like they are and they just didnt lose more.... i was kinda self conscious about my legs when i was like 11-12, but now they're kind of my trademarkSame thing happened to me while on finasteride. You may have a thyroid issue so get your thyroid checked and the thyroid antibodies too. I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and it can affect everything. Body hair is influenced by DHT.
Hey, i was on Propecia for about 8 months, i have been off of it for less than a week now. 3 years ago i started with thinning in back, my hairline was fine, i didnt even know i was having a problem until i got a haircut and they commented. Hairline issues started about a year and a half ago. But yeah thyroid sounds like a good way to go, gonna get that tested ASAP.How long were you actually on propecia?
Was your hairline already starting to recede 3yrs ago?
Definitely get your thyroid levels checked just to be sure.
There’s a belief among some doctors that a strong correlation exists between the amount of body hair vs aggressiveness of baldness for those who are genetically predisposed to it. Loss of leg/body hair and slower facial hair growth has been reported by many Finasteride users. There’s been some anecdotal evidence over the years that very hairy guys tend to respond better to Finasteride. Also, generally with this drug, the younger you are the better the potential response.
The decreased libido you experienced is not uncommon. Many guys choose to accept this as the trade off for keeping their hair. Some are able mitigate the sides by taking it every other day and/or reducing it. Given your aggressive loss I think you would be a better candidate for dutasteride. There are many reports of guys that couldn’t tolerate Finasteride but were able to handle dutasteride.
Cool, thanks man.But seriously, oral minoxidil + RU are your main treatment options at this point
Nope, never came back.Sorry, should have asked you this on the other post... but, were you able to get your leg hair to grow back? Damn @DoctorHouse... sorry about that man... so... do you think that the gameplan that i listed a little further back is a good place to start? Do you have any other suggestion or feel something is really important? Thanks, appreciate all the helpNope, never came back.

Its true noob. Go read about itLol not true at all
Honestly without taking finasteride or dutasteride, your loss will most likely continue. If you can accept it and move on and focus on a possibly having a child in your future you will be better off.Damn @DoctorHouse... sorry about that man... so... do you think that the gameplan that i listed a little further back is a good place to start?
