Probably from the telogen effluvium. You should get a hair specialist for further scalp biopsy to clear your mind.
Does Telogen Effluvium cause white plugs like that? What Norwood would you say this looks a like? I would but I’m not sure if seeing one would be covered by my insurance though ..

I was doing some reading and a lot of sources mention the white bulb may be correlated with Telogen Effluvium. Your hair honestly doesn't look "miniaturized" - the base of your follicles all look thick actually. Are your shed hairs typically as thick as the attached hairs?
Yes they are mostly thick but some are really short with a huge white plug on the bottom. I’m not sure what this indicates. Some wispy ones too but not a lot.

Yeah that's interesting. Most people with male pattern baldness shed hairs that are already very thin and unhealthy looking. Your hairs don't look like that. Perhaps they are shortened because they have rapidly entered a resting state (Telogen Effluvium).

If you're mainly shedding thick hairs, should be okay. You need to look out for the wispy hairs if it keeps on shedding in the next few weeks. Regarding the Norwood, I would say entering 2 (maturing).

I have probably shed a few unhealthy looking ones but I’m not sure if that is possible with Telogen Effluvium, the majority I’ve been shedding are thick ones.

Mostly thick. I do notice a few wispy but it’s rare. Idk if Telogen Effluvium induces that kind of shedding. Also my scalp tends to have these sebum plugs that can be scraped off too kinda gross. Idk if it’s a fungal infection. Seb derm maybe?if it is Telogen Effluvium idk why the hell I would have it again! Last time I had it was a year after I came off accutane in 2014/2015 I would hate to experience that again.

By any chance, have been on a strict diet regimen or in an extremely stressed environment or situation (apart from hair loss worry)? Those could be what initiated the Telogen Effluvium again.

No diet change, recently have had relationship issues, I think I got covid back in late august but nothing I can really think of. I hear Telogen Effluvium is rare, the only reason I got it a while back was cause it was drug induced.

Unless your relationship issue was too taxing on the body (mentally), it shouldn't be possible to cause another Telogen Effluvium.

Not sure if it’s Telogen Effluvium then, the relationship stuff just happened a month ago. If I notice 1 or 2 wispy hairs shed here and there should I be concerned or is this normal of the hair cycle?

No. It might help it. It's a complicated pathway, but the way it essentially works is by promoting the healing process.
Ok I’ll look into it. Should all the hairs I shed be matching in thickness? I just noticed one that looks thinner. Could this be due to Telogen Effluvium or is a few thinner hairs on the scalp normal?

From what I understand the white bulbs don't signify anything. It's just keratin/skin and all shed hairs have some.
White bulbs are telogen hairs without pigment. Pluck an anagen hair and clear the skin you will find its so dark at the bulb.
