A little question: What time of the day do you take propecia and is it the same as the time when you started on it?

I wonder if it there's a difference in the levels of DHT and the time people take it.

I use foam. I would rather use the liquid so it doesn't get absorbed by the hair shafts...but the liquid makes my head itch like CRAZY. Sometimes I fill up the cap on the foam with rogaine foam, then run hot water over the outside to liquify it, then use the dropper like it's liquid.

What is Spectral?

rawtashk did you ever feel breast tenderness/discomfort on propecia?

No.

Now, questions for you
A: Why are most of your posts just asking people if they had side effects on finasteride? 97% of guys don't have any side effects
B: If you're so worried about your hair, then why don't you get on finasteride already and get it over with?

Went to the doctor today and he started freaking me out about the possible sides, saying that he thought it would be a terrible idea to start taking finasteride. Don't know what to do now as was reasonably set on trying finasteride for a few months and evaluating the sides etc.

Oh, if you are so scared about a small loss of libido, then don't take finasteride and go bald!

- - - Updated - - -

Bcuz I'm afraid of getting permanent sides!
Serious? And you're not afraid that a car could kill you tomorrow? Because that has, in fact, a greater probability to happen compared to getting PERMANENT sides from finasteride.
You're pathetic people, with this "i'm scared of finasteride". Are you little girls or what??
Do you really want to maintain hair or your only goal in life is sex?

After everyone visits that Propecia help site, you cant really blame them. Its a process that everyone goes through.

1. Acknowledge you're losing hair
2. Find treatments (Propecia)
3. Find reviews on Propecia
4. Be scared as fawk and swear you'll never try it no matter how bad things get
5. Fawk it and get on the drug
6. Regret not getting on it sooner

Well i didn't visit that propecia **** site.
Anyway, chances are very small to get permanent side effects.
And i don't know what the guys there are saying, but to be scared as fawk for some (little) libido loss seems exagerated to me.

Ha-ha-ha, i entered now, and their latest "news" are from feb 2011, a study which says that if you take finasteride, you can't consume as much alcohol as before! :)))))))
And? Very good, drinking much alcohol is some unhealthy habit anyway.
They are ridiculous on that site. It really looks like some anti-Merck campaign. That site is full of bull****.
So, what do we know by now? Taking Propecia makes you drink less alcohol, and maybe have less sex. Oh my gosh, what a tragedy! I couldn't live with that. Maybe tomorrow they will post a study that propecia makes you smoke less and make a tragedy from that.
My hair transplant doctor is taking propecia for 18 years and hasn't any problem. He told me real studies done by real scientists showed that the side effects related to libido originate on the mental level.
Not bull****s invented by anti-Merck competitors.

No kidding. The effects of walking around bald compared to having troubles getting it up or less alcohol consumption is a joke.

There's lawsuits for every drug out there anyway.. I should actually say that there's lawsuits for anything out there.

Flight attendant spills coffee on you = instant millionaire. Fall outside a casino = instant millionaire.

I beg you pardon??? YEs, having trouble "getting it up" would surely suck, but, i really don't get the part with "less alcohol consumption"??? Why would that be such a tragedy? Alcohol in excess is bad anyway!

I'm saying that those two side effects are a joke. They're a small price to pay to keep your hair.

These hair loss forums (including this one) I think are a very negative force. Too many loonies spreading scare stories about side effects from finsateride.

Very negative indeed. Especially the "impact of hair loss" forum on here.. Makes me want to hang myself every time I read it.

Got some new headshots the other day. You can see the weaker hairline on my right side, but I feel like I can still hide it pretty well. I'm sure you guys can all see it, but most non-balding people wouldn't give it a second look
