6 Months On Finasteride = Hairline Receded Back A Full Norwood

If you don't mind me asking, hows your family's history with hair loss?

My dad's family are not even NW1. Not joking. My paternal grandfather still has a juvenile hairline at exactly 80 years old.
Meanwhile, my mom's side are all bald. Everyone. But they retained full heads of hair (albeit with some thinning) until 37-40 years old.
And here I am. Not even 18 yet. Thanks mom.

Weird.

My dad is 66 with a receding hairline and pretty thin crown but it took him like 40 years to get there. Both my grandfathers never went bald. Even my maternal grandfather had hair at 90.. He was thin but still had like 75-80% of his hair. Paternal grandfather had a full head of hair even at 80. My mom's brother is bald, but his receding pattern is much different than mine. I'm pretty sure I have my dad's as I saw pics of him at 30 and it looked like this. So, hopefully, since his hair loss wasn't aggressive, mine won't be.. Knock on wood.

I think all these stories can be fixed with an AA. Blocking T and DHT would simply nuke male pattern baldness. It is the cure. But not the cure everyone would take unfortunately.

Some do get massive sheds. Thas why I recommend not stopping finasteride cold turkey. Instead start taking duta while taking finasteride, then start decreasing finasteride progressively. Besides, dont think about changing your regimen for at least 1-2 years.

While I myself do not take fina, it seems that if you already have started and do not experience sides, then you should give it a year and then assess. If u start getting sides you should reconsider.

So I just took a shower and saw some tapering hairs.. (Getting lighter towards the root). Not all of them were like this, but some. Does this mean I'm totally fucked and should give up?

i don't think finasteride would turn your situation around seeing your dht being so low already. High t levels maybe the culprit, which ru would block locally.

where do you recommend we get our hands on ru?

See.. It's getting worse. Literally worse than last week.

I shed for the entire 10 months i was on finasteride. So yeah, i know the feeling of seeing myself get worse quite fast..

Well my DHT is low I've checked it. And i highly doubt I'm sensitive to T. And the hairs aren't minaturizing just falling out and not coming back. I see white bulbs

Do white bulbs indicate a permanent loss? I see them from time to time and I've researched the significance of course, never got a real answer.
