Ive been hiding under a ****ing hat the last 10 years, can't there come a ****ing cure soon so I can feel like a normal person again???

To hide under a ****ing hat is no worthy life. Actually its not really living, its more like existing and wonder why the hell just I have to go through this...!

Ah jeez, it bothers me so much that I'm only in my early twenty's and I have the hair of an old man; thin hair on the top of my head with the back and sides already greying.

At this point, it seems like if a cure would be found for every single possible thing, one for hair loss would be the last to get discovered.

Once upon a time I was more comfortable under a hat and my hair loss wasn't even as bad many of yours. Recently(withing the past 6 months)I just decided to go out mostly without one. It sucks that put something on our head just to feel comfortable.

You really did get the short end of the stick. Aren't you hispanic? Most hispanics I see have jet black hair until they reach 60 and average about a NW1 at that age too. They hit the hair lottery.

I thought just being bald was bad enough, but noooo, I have to have a mental illness too, along with other problems I addressed before. But I agree, baldness is just another elephant in the room that needs to be addressed, oh wait did i say that lol.

I know you said you have aspergers but really how severe is it if you are on the forum speaking coherently. What meds are you on? What are your hobbies and outlets?

Yes, I'm Hispanic with Spain and Venezuelan blood mainly in me. It seems like I really did get the short end of the stick. I have a strong history of Androgenetic Alopecia on both sides of my family along with hair turning grey, so it doesn't surprise me one bit that I'm so prone to going bald. Though, out of all my cousins on both sides of my family that are around my age, I'm the only one thinning and greying so early on, everyone else has the super thick NW1 jet-black hair. Some of them though have already been showing some greying, but absolutely none of them have any signs of Androgenetic Alopecia.

The only area of my family that never suffered any hair loss is my Father's Mother's side of my family, everyone is/was NW1 well into their lives. My paternal great-grandfather lived a long life and was a full blown thick NW1 when he died. Right now, my paternal grandmother is in her 80's with full thick NW1 hair with absolutely no Female Pattern Baldness. For the rest of my family, there's Androgenetic Alopecia everywhere.

Sorry to hear about your situation man, it must feel bad to be graying so early too. But if you shave your head, which I suppose you will do when you reach nw4-nw5, the grey hair doesn't matter anyway I guess.

Are you planning to do anything about your situation? I mean hair transplant, smp, hair system etc??

I have thinning in a NW6 pattern, all the hair on top of my head has shown sensitivity to DHT. My crown and hairline have been affected the most.

I am taking Dutasteride and have currently been on the medication for three months. Dutasteride has been incredibly helpful at preventing further loss should not keep losing any hair whatsoever in the long term. The Dutasteride is so strong, it's practically a bullet-proof treatment for Male Pattern Baldness.

@Agustin Araujo: "Dein Wort in Gottes Ohr", as we say in germany ;-) It means: "from your mouth to god's ears".

I recently started a new thread about the topic "T vs. DHT".

To my person: I am 35, slowly balding in a 2a-3a pattern since 16 years old.

regards
Kater Kahlohr (my nickname means "male cat bald ears" btw.)

Thanks for telling me what "Dein Wort in Gottes Ohr" is in English since I don't know German.

I took a look at your 'T vs. DHT' thread, it's interesting.

I started losing my hair when I was age 16 as well and wasn't happy about it. I hope treatments go well for you. :)

Just shave it bro and go to the gym and get a tan. You will feel liberated. You seem to me like you suffer from depression. Some hair on your head will not solve all your problems. Good luck.

Thanks swingline747, I have been diagnosed 3 times by three different shrinks and got three different diagnosis, one was manic depression, two was social anxiety and three was schizophrenia.
I adapted by working hard, I see my councellor more than my shrink, I'm more of a societal reject than anything lol, I searched for full time work since I was 13 years old and decided to pack my bags when I was 28, I went on low level disability and got promoted by some mishap. It seems like b.s., but this is my main career. The meds I take daily are zyprexa, clonazepam, propanol, and tigertoll, and a multi vitamin(centrum) I take those once daily,it wakes my brain up in the morning, I also have insomnia and take pills to go to sleep at night.
My hobbies are watching television, internet surfing, playing video games, weight lifting, producing hip hop music, writing lyrics, reciting lyrics, socializing with friends and family etc.
In closing I sincerly thank you for your kind words

Really?? I've heard that dutasteride has some seriously brutal side-effects though.

Side effects? Nope, I haven't had any. The Dutasteride is so strong, it's very possible to get what you want and not have any negative side effects. Go ask Rudolphus and zzzzz, they should say the same thing. Both of them are dutasteride-Users who haven't experienced unwanted side effects, just like me. :D

Cool man, thanks. I'll think about it. My hair loss is sooooo friggin aggressive though. I think I may even have DUPA. Not sure if there's any point.

I've actually been showing signs of DUPA. The hair on the sides of my head have shown sensitivity to DHT and I've actually lost some density in those areas, mainly behind my ears and the back of my neck, not as much as the top of my head though.

If you decide to get on Dutasteride, you shouldn't lose any hair in the long term, it's a pretty powerful medicine.

Agustin seems like a good guy, but some of his claims on dutasteride are pretty bold.

Agustin seems like a good guy, but some of his claims on dutasteride are pretty bold.

He also has not been on it a long time, really getting carried away, but he is a down to earth kind of person. Yes I know there are 4 year trials for dutasteride and male pattern baldness that show good success, but not a longer length of time to judge it. It is a great tool against male pattern baldness, but not bullet proof as such, nothing is.

Also if you got DUPA, it's game over. No medication or transplants will save you sadly. They just don't respond much to anything long term, generally speaking of course.
