There was a thread in 2001 about this stuff?! Not trying to crap on your thread but you would think there would be some kind of documented results if NOFAP made any difference at all.

I've done nofap for 3 months. Yes unbelievable for me but I just did it. Before that I was fapping once a week or sometimes twice a week. And Ive never had that problems that those nofap guys had. So after experimenting this nofap thing Ive found that fapping once week is the same thing as nofapping at all. So people never understand the word moderation.
Anyway, I didn't do nofap for my hair. I had strong nw1 hairline. My hair is thick and dense. However during my abstinance for 3 months my hairline became weak and receded a bit. Now Im between NW1.5-2 .
I don't know it's because of nofap but im sure my hairline has receded and there are red spots around it.
My hormones were raging and I had wet dreams every two weeks. Now Im back to my old schedule.
I believe unless youre castrated, you're going to lose your hair if youre destined to whether you jerk off or not.
Then again Im not dismissing your idea guys. Everyone is different. Whatever works for you

Like you said- everyone is different. My shed is almost down to 0 while i'm on nofap and my hair is the tickest I had in last 8 years. About testosterone, again everyone is different. After 7th day testosterone peak, T declines and is slightly above baseline. It isn't true that abstinence decreases T.

what I do know , is that telogen hair can grow back thicker or thinner , depending on your condition , telogen effluvium is caused by stress or thyroid or poor diet , it may last 6 months with thinning hair on your head.
if it is dealt with , your telogen hair will grow back thicker , provided that you have telogen effluvium and not anything else.
2 months ago , when I had longer hair , I recall having had a half thick part and a half thin part in same hair , that's called very sudden.
it's just a hair cycle , having lots of telogen phased hair doesn't necessarily mean that they'll grow thinner after the hair falling out.
edit : what the last sentence was implying is that :
use everything that you have at your disposal to fix your problem, even if the simplest thing would be enough to fix it.

Its ok, but I don't want this thread to be about me. I'm not in relationship ATM- been single for 18months now. I have sex sporadically, 0-5x a month. Before, i was in non stop relationships for almost 10years. I was horny MF, always had hot girlfriends + overfapping... I was abusing my body, I can see that now-moderation is a keyword.
Before, i was losing 15-40 hairs when i showered, now: 0-10.

well I am not expecting any regrowth before 3 months at least.
the minimal impact of it is the shedding that practically got the hell outta dodge!

I did reply. I never took finasteride. was on minoxidil years ago.
