Timeline of my scalp in order. Still think I'd lose? lol just stop the bs and HELP

btw this is over like 3 months

There’s nothing that can be said at this point. You’ve been on finasteride for 3 months - that’s nothing . Even the best responders might only just be seeing growth .

Wait another 9 months and evaluate .

Lol people here think 3 months is enough to see results on finasteride. It's not take it for 12 months and come back.

I see your point but this is quite unfair imo. Hair loss has to start somewhere and some people are just trying to catch it in its early stages. Labelling as BDD is over the top.

I've been using finasteride (generic: accord) and nizoral for around 3 months. I lose about 100 hairs in the shower and finasteride has not slowed this down even remotely. Should I switch to propecia? I've seen sh*t on here about generic brands being worse but I was skeptical. I'll gladly take duta instead if needs be. I'm only 21...

The front of my hairline looks so sparse under white light it's awful. Also the wait my hair sits has changed. Density is shot everywhere on the scalp.

my pics:
Hey man. Stick with your treatment and ignore the shame on here. You have great hair, but you are thinning. Mine was similar hit fast. 2.5 years in still shedding, getting worse last few months after switching from topical Finasteride to Propecia, still looks ok but feels like sh*t when you are used having to thick hair. I’m older so hopefully I’ll go Grey before I go bald.

Similar fashion started diffusing, noticed the part widening and eventually the heavy layers flatten out.

some helpful people on here and some bitter ones.

I honestly hate it. In most lighting (phone camera isn't good enough to capture it) the front of my hairline looks so sparse... and yeah the part widening is horrible. I'm hoping finasteride will start working eventually, but I was pretty sure if you didn't see immediate effects it wasn't going to do anything...

The people in this thread shitting on people who are just starting to bald or they're thinning at the front, out of some kind of jealous rage, are really triggering me.

The most common advice about fina/duta is to take it early, when you notice the first signs. I understand that you're upset seeing a guy with almost a full head of hair scared of balding, but get a sense of perspective. Throwing around diagnosis of body dysmorphia is also something you shouldn't so quickly do, remember this is a medical diagnosis, it's a bad trait to be so confident throwing around such things.

In response to the thread. I've been on Duta now for 4 months, haven't noticed anything yet, don't really expect to either. I have already settled myself on the idea that I am going to maintain what I currently have. Of course I have to hold back the part of me that wishes to fill in my very thin front, I try to make sure that is only a bonus in my mind. Measuring expectations is extremely important. I may be a non-responder, but I can stick with it for now because I have 0 side effects so far, beyond the first couple of days.

You'd never actually go through with this, I've got money & I'd gladly put 10k of it forward. But all you're doing is talking sh*t on the internet to make yourself feel better, nice one bro.

OP, you have 2 main pill options: finasteride or dutasteride

Topicals: minoxidil

Dermarolling

Eating well, working out, sleeping well

Beyond these things you are now in the realm of experimental drugs, drugs that aren't FDA approved in the US for hair loss (aside from dutasteride), etc.

Then last resort is a transplant

not sure what else you're looking for

Yes, bets on a forum of basically anonymous people hold a lot of weight. Come on, now. The issue isn't even whether he is or not, it's your bizarre, jealous, angry reaction which you've continued with this comment. Only really unhappy people behave this way, have you considered that?

Is it 2016 again? What is this outdated cringe?!

Bizarre , jealous and angry? I said like 4 times he is not balding and he keeps arguing over it instead of going to a doctor and proving my point. And then u gonna make some assumptions about who i am and how happy i am? Go live in ur safe space donkey.

Yes, you came out from the get-go immediately insulting him for daring to think he's balding, it's obvious you find this particularly stinging, probably because you're much more bald and find it offensive he considered himself balding.

Here's your first reply, in case you forgot:

You are not balding u utter BDD imbecile.

At the end of day, even if he is not balding, which it's hard to say, you don't know how thick the front of his head is, and he presented some pretty sh*t pictures where it's hard to tell, this sensitive response from you reads as juvenile jealousy. You need to come to terms with your own balding and chill the f*** out.

It's really obvious who is extremely upset here. I used the term 'triggered' and you're jumping on it, you're the one clearly acting out like a child who didn't get his favoured birthday present from your first triggered reply.
