After lots of combing through this forum it seems these are our realistic options:

Oh don't you remember? I can not get a good enough hair transplant. I think that I posted in another thread but with my donor, I would be able to cover the front and mid scalp with a bald crown. That would be using 50/50 scalp and body grafts which is nonstandard. To me, that result would not be good enough and plus I'd still be recommended finasteride at that stage too to maintain the donor. I am really one of the worst here because I saved up enough for a North America hair transplant and I don't have the donor. I had it all ready to go but realized that fully bald crown would not be age appropriate for me. Guys on here who have good donor should be very happy and they should, in my opinion, get their hair transplant and move on from this hair loss nonsense.
Can you at least get FUE + SMP, then buzz cut? At least you will have frame to your face and the feeling of hair

This was suggested by one doctor. Do you have a photo example of SMP used on a slick bald crown and combined with a hair transplant in front? It seems like the SMP is used for thinning areas, like a permanent concealer, rather than put on a slick bald area and combined with medium density of a hair transplant.

find SMP weird
What if she rubs her hand on his head and she can’t feel anything

I'm not seeing the added value of the SMP over and above the hair transplant, except for covering up the donor area. So it's like a permanent concealer, and you'd need enough hair to use concealer to pull off the SMP. I would have a shiny bald crown to be filled in. Wouldn't it be actually wrong to put the SMP there? Because SMP requires a shaved or 0 buzzed head to look good and transplanted hair should ideally grown out a few mm to use the doctor's illusion of density.

If you look at the last few pictures it's clear that the transplant didn't cover the entire area. Buzzing it down without amplifying it with SMP, would make the guy look visibly balding still. Even the guy who posted that article explained the same thing; "(NOTE: shaving does not make hair transplant look as full)"

SMP can also have varying degrees of pigmentation which might give the illusion that your hair is a bit grown like in this picture on the right side

But then it's equivalent to using concealer, like Dermmatch all over. For me, we are talking about putting SMP on a slick bald shiny crown, not a sparsely covered crown. I'm going to search if there are examples.

Nah mate, too long in the tooth(or should that be youth?). I'm on level 44 now, the games nearly up.

I started balding at 19, horseshoe at 23.

Sly and goatee at 24 until 40, then full birds nest.

you have a positive attitude

Well, I wouldn't go that far but I've had to except my fate. I hate being bald, I really do.

But you know what the irony is?, it didn't really affect me when I first went balding at 19, it was only when I lost my virginity at 23 to the single mother I married, that I got into the real world and realised that me being bald was a problem in society.

People say I suit it, but IF that's the case it's only because I have facial hair, over 6ft and havhae a decent physique.

My skin pallor is pink and I have a baby face ie freckles, blonde eyebrows, sanguine cheeks. Take the birds nest off and it's a different story.

But people can't empathise can they..........
