an answer to the question, can you get sides from topical finasteride if it does not go systemic?

Exactly. If those studies were right, we would've seen many people here easily replicate their protocols and see results... alas we don't.

I’m having my hormone levels checked and will try out the Mazzarella dosage as I’m starting it in a few days. I’ll try reporting back in 8 months with another hormone check.

I think Mazzarella study used too much.

If i remember correctly, they used 0,005% solution. That means they used 3mg per 60ml. 1ml equals 0.05mg.

They used 2ml in morning and 2ml at night. So 4ml per day. So they put 0.2mg of finasteride on their heads daily.

Lets say systemic absorption about 10% if used simply in ethanol and nothing else.

So it means they have 0.02mg of fina in their blood every day. We already know 0.05mg of oral fina is almost as effective in reducing dht than 1mg of oral fina. So I am not surprised 0.02mg of finasteride can cause sides.

Now, if we reduce the dosage by 3, so a solution of around 0.0016%, i think it can avoid sides completely. But i dont know if it will be effective..

0.0016% means 1mg per 60ml. It means you have 0.016mg of fina per ml. Lets say we use 2ml per day instead of 4ml, we are putting 0.032mg of fina on your head. With a systemic absorption of 10%, it means you have 0.0032mg of finasteride in your body.


0.0032mg vs 0.02mg !!!
It's around 6 time less!

Mazarella Dosage did not cause any systemic DHT Inhibition.
And we know that 0,01mg orally do not cause any DHT Inhibition. Therefore, there is no point in going lower than 0,01% topical finasteride.

You are wrong. Having read Mazzarella several times before following the protocol, I can assure you that they used 1ml in the morning and 1ml in the evening only on the bald areas. Which makes 2ml per day or 0.10 mg of finasteride per day on their head.

Also, I would say that the side effects depend not only on inhibition of dht but also on the quality of finasteride. I tested a few drops of a minoxidilmax product with finasteride to have the equivalent of 0.10 topical finasteride and the next day I had an extreme ballache that lasted for 10 days.

Since I use a solution prepared by my pharmacy with quality finasteride (I live in France and the regulations on the quality of drugs are very strict) I have no side effects.

For the results I posted it above. For the moment I have continued to retreat for my hairline but I have an aesthetic gain (Hair seems more dense and healthy).
Hormonal panel level I did one before finasteride and after 3 months. My dht to drop by 1/3 and my testosterone to increase. I don't really care, hormones vary so much throughout the day.

Mind sharing the exact compound and brand of finasteride your pharmacy is giving you? I want to jump on and try the Mazzerella dose asap before I add in minoxidil. Currently only using Eucapil and Keto shampoo.

I would like to but I don't know. The pharmacy does not tell me and it happens that I change pharmacy I move a lot !
