You need to chill buddy. Beard transplants are a bad idea and especially unsuitable for people with differing beard colour.

Are you more happy with that post?

Good thread, looking forward to the official seti and shiseido trial results in a few months.

And I completely agree, 2018 is probably the most important year in hair loss treatment ever.

Update 5/7/2019

So...

As always, lots of delays! Lots of news but lots of delays. Still, there's been a lot of activity in the last 6 months, so I figure its time for an update.

1) Histogen is in a phase 3 trial in Mexico, no news on how that's going, but hey its an option.

2) Samumed surprised everyone and actually launched a phase 3. That's been going on for several months now and it's due to finish in around a years time. A best case scenario would involve this coming out in the first half of 2021. At best this could overtake Finasteride, although I'm skeptical. Based on some follica patents that mention wnt modulation, i have a suspicion that it will work best when combined with wounding and/or other treatments.

3) Follica has been disappointingly slow. Still an unknown quantity of sorts but finally recruitment for the pivotal trial seems to have begun. It's slated to begin at the end of this year. The website boasts of hair follicle neogenesis and efficacy that is 3-4x that of current treatments so they back their treatment. Encouragingly, there's been talk of the pivotal trial being shorter than the typical 12 months. Still 2021 at the earliest for this.

4) Shiseido is scheduled to report on its trial results this month?! We shall see if that comes to fruition. RCH-01 doctors have been attending lots of conferences and Shiseido is really emphasising the role of future technologies in its business plan. All we can do is hope/cope. Potentially out by the end of this year, in a best case scenario.

5) Brotzu lotion. Came out. Scam.

6) I was vindicated in my lack of faith in Setipiprant as study results came out and showed it to be trash. Weirdly, some forum users have had good results with it even still. Luckily Fevipirant is scheduled to go into FDA registration at the end of this year so in a best case scenario it will be available in 2020 as an asthma treatment. Fevi is the dutasteride to setipiprant's propecia. Desperate hair loss sufferers (aren't we all?) may be tempted to try and get their hands on some.

5) The Tsuji team released a paper in a major journal, describing all their current work. Wording was confident that hair follicles would be the first cloned organ. Unfortunately for us, the trial has been pushed back to early 2020, as opposed to the original March 2019 date. Still, encouragingly, their seems to be an arms race going on to get hair follicle cloning into human trials. There are now at least 5 companies in late pre clinical stages. These include Riken, Invitrohair, Hairclone, Rapunzel and Stemson.

6) No one knows what happened to PTD-DBM sadly.

On the clinical front, the data analysis from the Phase 1 clinical trial of HSC660 in female hair loss has recently been completed. Excellent safety and tolerability of the product was seen, meeting all primary trial endpoints. We will continue to evaluate the HSC development pathway in both men and women with the goal of moving it forward in late-stage clinical trials early next year. - CEO Message

That is what status is right now seen from the CEO.

On their Website Histogen is still on with Phase 2 for male pattern.

Don't know who said phase 3? or if it was supposed to be written phase 2.

Evidently there is also a phase 3 trial happening in Mexico. It was also reported that they are working with a large retail partner to bring it to the market there. There is also cooprration with a Chinese company..Huapoint methinks. But no news from that frontline as well...
