Analysis: How Bald/Short/Meek/Ethnic men fare on the Bachelorette

The Bachelorette is an environment where women get to choose their pick of the litter by design, the seasons start with 30 or 40 contestants and the women pick one. It's interesting to see what women pick, now that there have been many seasons and thus we have a good sample size. As the male winners are usually around ~30, we would expect some ~30% of the winners to have visibly receding hairlines if baldness is irrelevant. More will have receding hairlines if baldness is considered sexy, and less if baldness is considered unsexy. Also note that if a bald man shows up among the contestants, he probably compensates in every other way, and he might even have a lot of confidence.

Also, if you subscribe to the Fredological worldview of romance, you will predict that the cases where subpar men "won" are specifically the cases less likely to succeed. Note that I wrote out this sentence prior to looking up the answer.

So this is the winner of season 1:

Tall, white, athletic, full-head. They got married and have two kids. Incidentally, he is a Nw2.5 or so now, but that's 13 years later.

Here is the winner of season 2:

Notice that he is only marginally taller than her, they broke up soon after the show ended. She has married a taller man.

Season 3,

She turned down both guys in spite of both being visible attractive.

Season 4:

This boyish-looking guy won. She dumped him and went with a more masculine man afterwards.

Season 5:

Very good-looking man won, but apparently he's an a**h**. She went with a more boyish man. He got married to a more traditionally beautiful woman, a blonde with great legs.

Season 6:

Wow, an ethnic guy won. They broke up around a year later and now she is married to a white man.

Season 7:

They're still together.

Season 8:

He won, he is boyish looking and only marginally taller than her. They broke up within a few months. She is now with a taller, more masculine man.

Season 9:

A 10/10 man, they married and are still together and are writing poetry books together.

Season 10:

They broke up soon after.

Season 11:

A 10/10 male won, they're still together.

Conclusion: No bald man has ever won on the Bachelorette. The shortest men who won were marginally taller than their partners, and the relationships didn't last. Only one ethnic man won, and the relationship didn't last, and since he was Hispanic he is barely ethnic as opposed to Asian or Black. 10/10 men did very well in not just winning but having lasting relationships.

Being gifted doesn't yield a guarantee of winning, it just means getting a good chance.
Being bald appears to be a guarantee of not winning.

I was almost there with my ex who was 1 point below me and deeply in love.

But no, my looks were no match for an abortion. Had I been more good-looking, she would not have left me after that incident.

As men, there's nothing we can do against these forces that influence the women around us. Women are herd creatures, and they have little self-awareness.

They have Tinder and Tinder Plus now, they can travel to any other country in a few hours, before, you were competing with the men in your social circle, at worst in your neighborhood.

Now? You're competing with the whole f-ing planet, and women's hypergamy has no bounds. And you know what is bound to happen: the same that has been seen on that Bachelorette TV show.

Women are wired to reproduce with the best-looking man around. It's biological and there's nothing they can do about it.

Imagine being in underwear in bed with a gorgeous woman beside you for the night. How long would it take before you jump on her?

It's the same for women when they see a genetically superior man around. They'll have this uncontrollable urge to be with him.

Knowing that, I don't see how I could ever commit myself to any woman and how I could stay faithful. I know I'm going to lose anyway, so why even bother being a good guy?

Only good-looking men can be faithful without losing their partner. I saw it with my cousin who is good-looking and already 5 years with his girlfriend (soon to be wife).

She would do anything to keep him around, she has this jealousy in her eyes, this admiration, like the ones you see on the pictures David posted above.

So since you can't change this just play the game, get yours as much as you can and if they leave move on to someone else without care. Have male friends for laughs etc. Don't rely one women for your happiness they either will leave you for someone "better" or try and lock you down so you have no freedom.

Importance of culture is heavily underestimated here.

Alot of western women and men have no boundaries, no sense of real values. By values, I don't necessarily mean "conservative" values, just good, common-sense values.

I don't believe it's (fully) womens biology which makes women go around from one man to an another etc.

It's todays individualism and consumerism which have brainwashed generations to come.

This is why, according to me, marriages won't seem to last in the western world.

Explain to me how does marriages between women and men in my ethnic group (christian middle-eastern) seem to last forever, but the same aged swedish man and woman won't last 3 years?

Because there's still a family-oriented culture and good values being attached to it which keeps both parties from f*cking **** up.

Good talk, but it's not that complicated. Everyone, including men, seek the best bang for their buck - if they can have someone better looking, richer, smarter, funner etc, they will jump for it if the OPPORTUNITY is available. Us in the western world live a life of many OPTIONS for education, jobs, property ownership etc - it's just called freedom and we take it for granted. In other parts of the world were you are either a farmer or miner, and your marriage is arranged by family the divorce rate is much lower only cause they don't have much for OPTIONS. Take the same person and put them in a western environment and only a matter of time before they succumb. And in general people will overvalue their attractiveness in the dating market - that's why matches don't happen that often, people always think they can do better.
