I picked my job based on the feeling I had at my interview. The managers were really nice and laid back. I know I will never have a burnout at my job, quite the opposite.

She said: "Yeah but you're still only 'job title', don't you want more out of life?" Oh yes, I want to be like her, on the brink of a burnout!

And it's my very first job, to her I should already be a manager. So many people can't keep realistic expectations these days.

"My dream job! My dream boyfriend! etc." Try to get and keep a boyfriend first sweetheart.

Yep but that's in their 20's, when they get a better taste of the world and how it works and realize dreams alot of the time don't come true, they lower their standards.

I love how deluded people are on the job market though and their over all expectations thinking they will start at a high paying job. News flash: Nobody owes you anything, and you will start at the bottom of the barrel, and crawl up.

Yep you hit it right on the nail head regarding blue vs white collar job pay perception. Also to add if a 20's girl is hoping to land a manager who makes money, guess what they usual are the fat bald guys because they sold their souls to the corporation who works the life out of them.

I say every day I wish I Stayed in blue collar. Wish I was an electrician (I mean I REALLY wish I was a rock star/p**rn star but hey). I used to do plumbing and heating. Whole other story with that though.

Perhaps, but I more got a kick out of the "learn to communicate with moral standards" bit. Very well put, but it's so at odds with the excessive hyperbole people like to employ on the Internet. I'm halfway tempted to make it a signature, haha.
