North American white liberals love to pontificate to others regarding empathy and compassion, yet they are often oblivious to their own cruelty and sadism. I'm on the left myself but it can be really nauseating listening to these people talk endlessly about women, blacks, LGBQT when they don't care about the poor, the ugly, the mentally disadvantaged, etc.

IMO there is a significant (20-30%) risk that the US will see a major armed conflict with another sovereign nation during his tenure. He is very bellicose in his rhetoric, not to mention tactless in diplomatic affairs, to an extent we've never seen in a US leader before, and tensions might easily blow up into armed conflict if the wrong sequence of events comes to pass.

That's not how wars happen.

Germany had superior science and technology, if they had assumed command of soviet natural resource wealth (Hitler's official, publicly communicated plan) it would have been game over for the US and UK.

If you're thinking of wars that are started as resource grabs or based on faulty info (Iraq War) you'll have a high likelihood of those as well with people like Mike Flynn and Mike Pence in the administration.

All modern major wars are the result of strategic conflicts of interest and are the continuation of politics by other means.

Again I'm on the left. I want to see less war, more investment in the third world, equal rights, tolerance, investment in the environment, et cetera.

If they really want to make the world a better place, they have the money to do so. They won't transform the world but they can have a genuine positive impact.

I don't have the raw talent or intellectual capability (not to mention time) to make any sort of broader impact with my ideas.

I still have faith in you that eventually you will find you do measure up to them more than you think. Dr. House, everybody lies.

But I agree with you that the election is over and we have to accept that President Trump is our President. As a matter of fact, I already accept it. But I'm also going to be negative about him being President because I disagree with a lot of what he's said. Accepting that he's has won AND he's the President doesn't mean that I give up my right to disagree with him vocally.

And again, EVERYBODY does lie. I've never come across a human being who hasn't lied.
