At What Point Are You "not A Man" When Hair Loss Is Consuming You. Because I Don't Feel Like One.

man, if you guys are serious, then you're kinda fucked up in the head. How many homeless people have you conversed with. I've worked in a ruin down city for almost ten years. I have talked with many, many homeless people. I would say about 80% are mentally ill, on drugs or both. Some just have had sh*t, sh*t luck despite their best efforts.

You do anything for hair, they would do anything for money and something to eat... yet you trash talk them??

that's what it boils down to really. we are, as a species not having conversations with each other and therefore not understanding each other. it's a lot easier for our little human brains to categorize one group as trash, another as terrorists, and ourselves to be humans.

as Fred says, yes, many homeless don't want to be helped because of where they are mentally. that's why we need to accept that in many cases we won't be able to make the more tangible and satisfying micro-level changes like turning one homeless dude's life around by buying him food, shelter, and a suit and watching him get a job. no, we need to change the environment and institutional factors that create these issues that manifest themselves as homelessness and drug addiction.

unfortunately we are so far down a path of divisiveness, ignorance, victim blaming, institutionalized abuse, and immaturity, that modern politics can't do sh*t. our society is fucked until the next major natural disaster hits and we can start over :| obsession with fake things like forced monogamy, nuclear family, and consumerism has pervaded our natural human condition like a virus.

Quoted in his video:
Szasz, T.S., and Robertson, A.M. A theory of the pathogenesis of ordinary human baldness. Arch Derm Syphilol. 1950 Jan;61(1):34-48, illust. “In many [pattern baldness patients], we encountered various types of ‘fixed smiles,’ and in a few, a rather striking, characteristic expression best described as a ‘toothy smile.’ Such rigid facial patterns are thought to reflect, psychologically speaking, defensive attitudes. Wilhelm Reich in his book, 'Character Analysis,' pointed out what he called 'muscular armor' as a frequently observed somatic reflection of 'character armor.' 'Character armor' refers to the psychologic defenses of a neurotic personality which serve as protection from feelings of insecurity and anxiety.”

i'm not a civilization fan. i prefer small egalitarian communities. a place where a village raises a kid, and everyone's individuality and uniqueness are celebrated.

your life trajectory is neither just you or just external forces. it's a mixture of both. i'm not an extremist.

I will tell you one of my experiences-

I have lost a lot of hair but the remaining hair grows really long and thick. It was a really windy day. I was walking on the street. There was a restaurant with people sitting outside. As I came in front of those people, my hair was blowing really heavily due to the wind. But my bald spot was also visible. I could hear them mocking me and laughing at me.

I still remember that experience. It is is not about me being made to feel that I no longer a man, but it adds to my perception that I am a lesser person. But I have always felt that - I was raised in a pretty homophobic society and I always felt that I am a subhuman - every wound in your life, small or big, adds to the hurt. I think I would be fairing a lot better if I had a full head of hair.

Monogamy is required to raise a healthy offspring and it is natural.

is that true? when you say healthy, you mean mentally or physically? because when i look at nuclear monogamous families i see a bunch of grown adults who believe in fairy tales, and a whole lot of children who are not allowed to be themselves.

Filthy fear mongerer.

A side effect of aspirin is death. I don't care about your YouTube videos.

You know what causes depression? f*****g baldness in very early twenties. What about that Mr. 'I don't have the balls to try finasteride so I fear monger on a f*****g hair loss forum'.

Well said. Also another strong element to the worst of human behaviour you have just described: good old fashioned fear.
It works every time.
A major fear of all we don't understand and makes our limited minds uncomfortable.
The media takes full advantage of this and influences the thinking of the masses.

I'm so sorry man. I will be 35 soon. Don't know where the time went. I want a family and kids, but can't even go out on a date. Every where is thin now, and in the past 4 months, I've even lost the hair line. On the entire left, the first inch of hair line is literally 36 transplanted hairs. the right is thin, and soft, while the left each THICK donor hair has like a quarter inch between them, stick STRAIGHT up, and even have two and three hair grafts in there. If I pluck them, I will be NW3 on ONE side. Also, every hair has pitting around it. It's sickening. I could cope when somehow I had a bit of native hair there to disguise them, but somehow, I've lost every one on that side....

I would try and give you advice, but I have NO idea how to deal with this.

A family member is getting married next month, and all I am thinking about is how sickly I will look in front of my entire family and all my friends that still assume I have a full head of hair. This is from disguising it with toppix and such at special events. Now, if I put toppix on, it falls right through the hair and sits on the scalp... it looks terrible.

The day has come where I am out of options. Don't know how it could possibly happen this quick, but it has to be going on and off of finasteride... :(

If you don't think positive, you really DON'T HAVE ANY HOPE. Think optimistic. You still have your health (well, maybe not all of it...), but you still have a job, and a career. Hell, I would trade places with you!

If you want to have kids, have them! Besides, baldness will probably be a thing of the past. Worst case, your kids will LAUGH AT YOU, like mine laugh at me.

You're losing your TIME. Can't you see that. The longer you wait, the more chance your kid will be fucked up from something. And when you're in your forties, you might not even have the energy for it.

Women defending their abusive good-looking boyfriends is quite common.

Anyone on this forum could give several examples quite easily.

My own cousin falls into this category: lazy, weed-smoker, unemployed for a while.

It doesn't matter, his wife worships him and think every woman out there is trying to steal him from her.

When you're good-looking, you really can get away with every vice out there.

Except losing your looks.

That describes my ex brother in law perfectly! He was a full head, but I didn't just hate him
because of that.

He was, in a word, and a**h**. Unemployed for the past five or six years. Only a year and a half older than
me. Also, he had a certain syndrome... which I won't mention here.

Now they are divorced, and really, I couldn't be happier about that. He wants half the house, even though
my sister paid for it. Go figure.

I can't help but to let out evil laughs at good-looking people who destroyed their own lives while they could have been on top of the world.

Define this "on top of the world" cliche for me in real practical terms.
Sounds like a fairytale to me.

Hair loss and the fact that there doesn't appear to be a solution for it has absolutely devastated my life. One can't feel like a man when feeling the kind of inferiority that this brings. Your head/face is WHO YOU ARE, having a part of it falling off makes you feel like Jeff Goldblum in The Fly - not human.

Fear mongering is for loser's who lick every baldness forum.
I did not talk about sexual side effects.

In the first,i don't even cite online internet for study
I have more than 1000$ of medical books in my home.
I didn't had that material in that.
So i am going to believe stupid scientific papers is out of question

About finasteride side effects,
I gave up that within 1 month in 2013.
At that time,i don't even know hair loss forum existed.
I made account in this site at 2014 though i never used it before 2015.
My action to quit Finasteride was not influenced by comments of other users.
I didn't even need prescription to buy this drug.

Who are you to tell me loser.

Instead, introspect where your life is going. You are here on this forum instead of making love/or what you want(sex).
You should take mobile of your friend's and peak how's they are spending life on this Earth, and then compare with your self.
I don't insult you back doesn't mean you can say anything to me.
Learn how to behave with other people.

You don't even have brain to differentiate fear mongering with
a concern that Finasteride link with depression raised by even one person.

You don't have brain to understand what does question mark that i used in my post after word's depression/suicide stand for.

? Stand for query and it means probably, and can be wrong.
It do not hold confirmation.
